You have being out from the WT too long!!! Forget the old good days that we had roasted chicken, patatos, salads. You have to bring your food, and it has to be modest like a sandwich

when i was a kid, you would buy these books of "food tickets".
the tickets were traded for terrible food.

Did You Tend To Question The Organization Or Did You Just WANT To Believe?
by minimus ini know some who always questioned the elders, the society, and others because they were typically skeptical.. there are those who just seemed to want to believe whatever they were told.. i was more a skeptic, during my last decade.. .

Since I was a kid I was skeptical. I just couldn't accept the fact that a "loving God" will kill all of my friends at school just because they are not JW's. Then it was the fanatical attitude of the WT that the end was near(mid 70's and 80's)and I would not grow old(now I'm at my early 40's. In the back of my mind something was telling that I need to examine my faith.
And I did....

I reached quite high. I was believing that I was doing "God's Will". When I found the "truth" about the "Truth", I simply quit, faded out and then disfellowshiped

Have a good Easter weekend.
by tec ini'm going to my parents for this long weekend, along with my boys, my aunt and her twin boys (same age as my oldest), and our pup.
will be a busy and bustling weekend, seeing as the basement recently flooded, so that area is now off-limits.
so for the next five days, the four and a half hour drive tomorrow is going to be the only quiet time i think i'm going to get, lol.. however, my mother is going to have a big pot of homemade chili waiting for us... and that alone would be worth the drive and the craziness :).

Easter it is a pagan word coming from a the Greek name of a goddess known throughout the Eastern Mediterranean from the Bronze Age to Classical time Astarte. For the Christian Orthodox faith instead of Easter, is Passover.
So have a good Passover everyone

BBC Video: Does Christianity Have a Future?
by leavingwt inthis documentary was broadcast on april 17, 2011. .
"according to some, christianity in the uk has no future.
closure of churches and falling attendances in the last few decades appear to show that the christian faith is in terminal decline.".

The question is if Christianity fades, what is the religion that will replace it? Personally I take the principles found in Jesus teachings, with basic principle the Universal Law of Love. Mainstream Christian religions are tolerant and if you belong to any of those mainstream Christian Religions(Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican) you enjoy freedom of thought.
My main concern is what kind of religion will replace Christianity. What I'm afraid is from the rappid expansion of the Muslim faith in Europe and especially in England and France, that you can see Mosques coming out like mushrooms, replacing even Christian Churches, since there aren't any Christians to attend and worship Jesus. The fact that most of them are fanatics, acting like a right wing Christian Cult(like JW's)it is something that we need to take into consideration.

MEMORIAL 2011 - Let me hear your comments
by JustHuman14 inok the 2011 memorial belongs to history, but let me hear your comments...personally i found it boring, most of the talk was focusing on why not to partake from the "emblems", instead on focusing on jesus sacrifice.... as i have seen most jw's are dressed to the heel, like it is an oscar awards nomination.
being disfellowshiped, i was kind of invisible, i almost believed that i have died and it was my spirit that attend there at the hall, but an inactive jw, confirmed that i was still alive(and i felled kind of relief), since he came shake hands, and talked with me.. .

MEMORIAL AT THE KINGDOM HALL OVERFLOWING WITH NEWCOMERS?
by steve2 inthis is a question for those brave souls who, for whatever reason, attended this year's memorial: .
who else was there?
was there any evidence that the witnesses are still attracting a large crowd of "newly interested ones" (to use their awful phrase) or even complete strangers drawn in by the door-to-door work.. i hear lots of comments about how poorly attended some of the weekly meetings in the halls have now become, so i'm curious about what you guys may have seen when you attended in the past day or so.

I guess I'm from the brave ones!!
Well actually I didn't notice any overflowing. Most of the people I have seen, are the same persons who come every year, due that they have JW relatives, or close friends, or a JW boss!!!

Hebrew faith was based upon Mesopotamian legends and stories like Noah's Flood, a reproduction of Gilgamesh Epic. Even the Mosaic Law is a copy of the Hammurabi's Code, and that is not a surprise to have many similarities, since Abraham came from Mesopotamia region and moved to Palestine. So technically speaking the Old Testament is a reproduction of old Stories in Mesopotamia. Even the names are the same like Adama and Eve. The difference is that we have the "Gods" in Sumerian Texts called Annunaki(The "Gods who came from the Sky) who created humans in order to serve them. Their first creation was Adama. So it is not surprise to have an advanced alien civilization 7000 years ago in Mesopotamia region that changed the primitive human D.N.A. For those primitive humans those aliens they would seem like Gods. That is why we see "God" in the Old Testament to have human characteristics, a jealous God that demands worship. If they were no 'other Gods" why would he be angry and demands complete submission if he is the ultimate God? Just take the example of Hezekiel's chariot of Jehovah. Does God needs a chariot(from the description you can see that is a spaceship) to move around?

July 15th WT out - Coming out Swinging at Apostates Hard
by LostGeneration inthis is one of the most aggressive watchtowers i think i have ever read.. four study articles on not "following the crowd" not following unrealities(page 13) not following false teachers, meaning apostates of course(p 15).
avoiding false teachers means "refusing to read their literature, watch tv programs that feature them, examine their web sites, or add comments to their blogs.
(para 7, pg 16).
