This is normal to the Islamic world. I know that there are thousands stories burried like that. Even in Turkey there similar cases...

so i came with a new one.... i know how you feel.

i was in the same situation, but 15 years ago.

I feel so discourage by now. Thursday was the first time I went to the meetings since 3 weeks and some looked at me in a strange way. One of this persons was an elder I like very much. He greeted me with a reproachful look and after the meeting he came to me and asked (on a false joking tone) if I still new them. I just answered no in the same tone and went.

Yesterday after the meeting, we went to eat an ice cream with our daughters and some “friends” from the KH, which we like very much and with whom we regularly come together. I talked with a sister about the new generation teaching and told her how silly I find the new explanation. You should have seen how fast she went on “JW-mode”. She was on the defensive and asked me if I’m from the GB to know what is silly and what not. I told her it lacks of logic. She told me it’s just the new light. It has been like that since at least 100 years, that’s it. Then I asked her why the new light of 2007 about the generation is obsolete by now? Aren’t they directed by the Holy Spirit? Then I said the truth as revealed in the bible doesn’t change, only human interpretations, that are imperfect, change. She had to agree and then said the bible says they are the FDS not the F and perfect slave. Jehovah has is timetable and will fulfill his will in due time even if it’s the grand-children of her 14 year old daughter who will see this fulfillment. As I saw she was getting nervous and not acting as usual, I just agreed and let her alone. I just wanted to scream.

When I was in the car I told my husband that I don’t believe in this stuff anymore. I believe in God, but not in the FDS. He asked me if this organization is not God’s organization which one is serving God ? I told him I don’t even know if God has an organization on earth. Then he asked me if I believe Moses was led by God? I said yes. Then he asked me if all he did was perfect. I told him no he did some mistakes, but everything Moses said in God’s name accomplished. Then we stopped talking about that.

I was asking myself why I was still going to those meetings. I found out the truth about the Borg 3 month ago, and for me it was clear enough to stop preparing any meeting and involving myself in this imperfect organization. I wanted to fade slowly…(sigh).

Now I don’t even know what to do. It’s so difficult when you have a hubby you really love and 2 little children. If I were single, I would have left straight away.

Yesterday I felt so discouraged after the meeting. I thought I will stop all activities relating to this organization. In order to get encouragements I came on the forum and read until 1.00 am then I went exhausted to bed.

Sorry for talking so much, but I just wanted to share my feelings with you.

I know how you feel. I was in the same situation, but 15 years ago. Yes it was the first change of the generation done by the WT. It was the contemporary “light”.

I had the misfortune to be teenager at the early 80’s, when all that pressure about “worldly education” was coming out from the headquarters. It was close to the 1975 fiasco of the WT, then it was the Ray Franz incident, so the Old boys decide to tight things more.

So since the end was Soooooo close I quit school to become pioneer and save as many more people I can. You see our preaching was separating the sheep from the goats, according to WT since 1935. So there was no time for education since the generation that will witness the “sign” at 1914, it will be old enough to witness the end of this system. A generation lives 70-80 years, so we have 1914+70 = 1984…

As a teenager and having faith that this was “God’s Words” and solid as a rock, I became pioneer. (I guess this pioneer thing is in the family) I quit school, plus a promising career as a musician, in order to save the World from the end.

So I preached, in the meantime, got married, and waited for the end. Then in 1995 comes a “light” from Brooklyn. The generation now means contemporaries and does include those seeing the “sign” in 1914 and those who have seen those who seen the “sign”…and the separation work it will be done by Jesus only, so for 70 years our preaching work went down the drain!!!

I was young and I have wasted my best years of my creative life for a preaching work that now have changed. In fact if I continue to do the preaching work I used to, I will be considered an apostate…After that, in just 5 years I became inactive, step down from all the privileges I had in the WT world and try to fix my life that was in a great financial mess. Plus I lost my credibility to all those I have preached regarding the generation: How can they believe me now? How can I tell them, look there is a new understanding now and forget the previous one? How can I be credible to them since I was telling them that this are the words of Jesus in the Bible? Was it Jesus fault of this change? Does Jesus change His mind from time to time in order to create a state of confusion to His followers? Or I spend all those years preaching a FALSE GOSPEL by FALSE PROPHETS, who claim that they have the “holy spirit”?

During those years I didn’t proceed to a serious business deal that for sure it would have change my financial future completely, since I come from a pour family, that spend their time to promote WT’s gospel. So due to the fact the end was near I declined that proposition. But you can’t turn back time since I was in the mid 30’s going to 40’s when I had to move on with my life.

Boy it is hard world out there, especially when you have no friends and most of all education. I could see my “worldly” friends that most of them studied higher education, getting a respectable amount of money, while I was killing my self to world, doing (and still do)2-3 jobs, working 14 hours a day just to get the minimum money to support my family.

Many didn’t like my fading. I was a great tool in the hands of the WT. So after a lot of pressure from my wife and tense and intense arguing I told I just don’t believe anymore that the WT has something to do with God. It is just an American Religion created 150 years ago by a guy who has no clue of Christianity, based upon Pyramidology and Occult practices, passed upon wrong dates that coming out from the measures of Pyramids (607 B.C instead of 587 B.C). So it is easy to guess what happened. I was handed over to the ”loving elders” of the WT Society by my wife for apostasy…So I managed to get way from been disfellowshiped, and I continue my fading. But this wasn’t enough so few years later again I was turned to the elders for apostasy, but this time I was strong enough to blow WT in their faces. I walked for the KH and never turned back.

As you will already know WT controls your family. There is no real love amongst the JW couples, actually I found that their love is with terms and conditions. Follow them in order to love you. So my family was broken due to WT’s policy of disfellowship and I left house, since there was no way that I could have a normal life.

In my case I was born in the WT, didn’t had anyone else in my life besides JW’s and trying to be a normal person it takes years, specially to deprogram your mind from the brainwashing of the WT. Like you I have children but I speak to them why I left WT and why they should use their mind capabilities, conscious, and discrete in their life.

I did found peace on mind after living WT, and tried to live a peaceful life. Most of all I enjoy freedom of thought without anyone telling what to believe today….If you need anything PM

My post has nothing to do with crazy TV Christian preachers. Don't forget I'm Greek and we have bad experience from Turks. I have only mentioned the facts that I know and I HAVE SEEN regarding Turkey. Personally I don't believe in prophecies

2014 100th anniversary of 1914

do you all think there will be huge drop in memberships of jehovah witnesses during 2014?

i don't believe so because the governing body member will come up with new reasons why armageddon hasn't come yet.

i was thinking they will reinterpret scriptures and stuff....

They can't hold on forever in 1914....so they will have to change that. They did for 1874, the supposed invisible presence of Christ, it was changed in the mid 30's, so it is about time for a new light, don't you think?

there is a lot of difference between failed prophesy, and FALSE PROPHETS...WT from their start as Bible Students(Jehovahs Witness are splitter group of the Bible Students)in 1874 A.D they have a tremendous record of FAILED predictions. Now, who is to blame? The Holy Spirit that suppose is guiding WT's GB(that appeared in the scene only in the 70's, since before that, FDS was Russel and Rutherford)

Bible Students believed that Armageddon will start in 1914...nothing happened

Then they moved to a new date in 1916, again nothing happened(well Russell died)

Then Judge Jo takes over the power of the WT, by removing all the Board of Directors that Russell chose, declares them as 'Evil Slave', and becomes the ruler of the WT. Then he comes with a new date:1925 that it will marked the start of the Ancient Prophets(Noah, Moses, David, etc etc)and they will LEAD in Armageddon. He bought a nice villa in San Diego Cal. had 2 limousines(at that time only a handful of people in the entire US could afford to buy those, and Jo was one of them)and he waited for the resurrection of the Prophets. Nothing happened in 1925 and the Millions who supposed not to die, well they died, along with Judge Jo in 1942, feeling complete sure that Great Tribulation started(it was WWII)and they are only few months away of Armageddon, according to his last speech in an Assembley.

Well since there was no resurrection of the Ancient Prophets, WT sells the mansion, and Freddy Franz comes with a new date of the end. 1975...After a second calculation of Genesis record and Bible Geneaology he found out that 6000 years of creation will end in 1975, since Russell made a slight mistake of 100 years!!! So instead of 1875, 6000 years ends in 1975, the APPROPRIATE time for God to ACT. After WT's encouragement, puplic talks, many sold their property, stayed without education and went on preaching since the world would end in 1975....

Well 1975 passed by and nothing happens, so instead of apologizing to their followers, 2 years after, Freddy Franz blamed the JW's because the end didn't come in 1975, plus in WT article they said they weren't sure how much time Adam was alone, before God created Eve!!!

But still the end was close since the Generation that will witness the invisible presence of Jesus, that occured in 1914(until mid 30's WT believed that the presence was in 1874)and they will be ALIVE to witness Armageddon, since a generation can live 70 years, so we have 1914 plus 70=1984...Well it happened for me to be teenager at that time, I quit school to become pioneer because the end was so close. Plus our preaching work was separating the sheep from the goats. A separation that started in 30's(according to Judge Jo)

So I quit school, I quit a promising carreer as a musician and I preached about the Generation that by no means will pass away and the end will come until 1995...Suddenly the 'Holy Spirit' decides to change the light!!! What does this mean? It means that my grandfather who was anointed and died in the 60's, when I was only 2, his life has overlap my life!!! So I'm 42 now and if I decided to become anointed that will extend the end for another 40 years! Now if my grand child borns in 10 years from now and when he becomes 35-30 years old decides that he is anointed(since the heavenly door that was closed since 1935 was opened again in 2008)the life of my grand child will overlap my life who was overlaped by my grandfather....

yeah so in genesis we read how people began building a tower which would reach up to jehovah in heaven....must have been damn tall....rather then just stop them, god changes everyones language.....one guys speakin french.....another speakin russian and so on!

can't finish the tower now can they!!

this is not very scientific......does anyone believe this is how languages got started???

Chinese is a 5000 year old language and along with the Hellenic are the only old languages in the World that they are still spoken. We have to take into consideration when the first civilazation started and the location.

We know it was in Mesopotamia, when we have the first organized cities and laws and the first recorded law was the Hammurabi Code. That is why all of the legends and stories have common things, like Noahs Flood, based upon the oldest story of Gilgamesh in Sumeria.

There is also Egypt that indeed has tremendous history that goes back 7000 years and shares many common thinks with Creteans, but the oldest languages are still spoken today are the 2 above. So China has nothing to do with Mesopotamia area, that means they developed their own language long before the story of Babel, and Greece has nothing to do with the Semetic language, since the Hellenic language is different, in writting and sound, that is why the word Barbarian, comes from the Greek -Varvarus(β?ρβαρος) and it was used for those who didn't speak Hellenic, and specially for those living in Mesopotamia. So when Greeks listen to them speaking, it sounded like var-var-var-var(exactly like when you listen to Arabic language that has Semetic origins)so in order to give a linguistic definition, Greeks called the non-Greeks-Varvari (barbarian)

English that is a modern language is based 40% upon Greek words, latin, French,Celtish, Saxon. So taking into serious consideration the Babel story there are many thinks that don't fit.

Since I know from first hand Muslim religion and mentality I would say some fact: First I do have Muslim friends that I love and we have no problem to live in peace. What I'm worried of is the way that Europe and US are acting and promote Fundamentalism on the one hand, and on the other they tolerate things that they shouldn’t.

In UK there was an issue with Public toilets and the Muslims demand to have special toilets (there is a special hose to wash your as* when you finish) In France they demanded to wear Sharia in the Universities. It created turmoil amongst the French and at the end the Officials didn’t accept it.

Now what if I’m in a Muslim country and I wear a cross? In some it is forbidden. What if a Muslim change religion and becomes Christian? In Persia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, just to name a few, you will be beheaded if you dare to change your religion. On the other hand the Muslims demand to own their mosques in Christian countries, and I’m glad that in Australian Government didn’t accept some issues that Muslims raised. It was a clear answer: This is a Christian Country, if you don’t like it you can go some place else!!!

We know how women are treaded in those countries. A second class human being without any rights at all, that is subject to her husbands will. At the Court she cannot defend herself, and in cases of rape, it ends to be stoned for fornication, instead of protecting her!!!

There is new wave of Muslim Fundamentalism emerging seriously. Turkey has a plan to become the leading country of the Muslim world. It was published by the Turkish Foreign Minister Davoutoglu, in a book with the title “Strategic Depth”. The plan is to make Turkey a Muslim and I repeat, a Muslim super power in the Islamic World, from China to Bosnia, plus to use the Turkish immigrants who stay in Germany, England, France, on their behalf. They will use their influence to the Muslims all over the World, by building Mosques, Theological Universities and to build an Islamic attitude amongst the people, in order to create their super power.

Is this an ambitious plan? No, I don’t think so. Personally I have seen the destruction of World Wide Heritage Christian sites by the Turks. Christian Churches 1700 years old have turned into stables and public toilets. Cemeteries complete destroyed, broken crosses, the corpses they were removed from the graves and thrown to the dogs. I have seen from first hand systematic destruction of the Christian Heritage in Constantinople, Smyrna, Ephesus, the occupied part of Northern Cyprus by the Turkish Troops since 1974. They are trying to vanish from the face of the earth from the places that they occupied from 1453 A.D any mark that shows a Christian monument or building.

There is a huge increase of Theological Muslim Universities in Turkey in order to create the Islamic mentality and culture and to promote Islamism amongst the Islamic world and in Europe and this means they are following their plan.

In the same book he said that in order to be the leader of the Islamic World they have to cut bonds with the Israel, since it does not look well to the rest of the Islamic World. Indeed this is happening since both countries are in a very bad situation, with the resent events in Gaza, when Israel attacked the ships who were supposed to carry humanitarian help, and most damage was done on the Turkish boat. This event gave bonus to the Turks in front of the eyes of the Arab World. Turkey that fights for the human rights of the Palestinians, forgetting the fact that human rights are violated in Turkey, and specially the human rights of the Greek Orthodox & Assyrians Christians, Armenians, and Kurds. A country that committed genocides and Ethnic cleansing of the groups that just mentioned above for the last 80 years, a country that occupies since 1974 the 37% of Cyprus, a country member of the UN & EU, committed war crimes, created 240,000 refugees in their own land, did ethnic cleansing of the occupied land in order to vanish anything that is not Muslim.

Don’t forget that they provide support to Persia lately with their nuclear program and this is something that many Western countries are taking into consideration.

My question is: Have our Government’s ever protested to this Islamic Countries regarding the human rights and specially the women? No, because they are too busy drilling Oil and making Millions from it

What will happened when Oil finishes? What will happened when Muslims infiltrate Europe, US? Are we are going to be strong enough to tell them: “Listen guys you have to do something about human rights and specially the way you tread women”.
