  I've hardly had much contact with my father's family over the years. He became a JW after his younger sister joined. I suspect his preaching to them every time he saw them probably became too much. They still came to the funeral / infomercial of my aunt's non-JW husband. Didn't come along to the house afterwards, but I realise now the likely reason why.

  a recent watchtower study article shows how bad it is to be rejected over religious beliefs when olga revealed that her husband was not speaking to her because she is a jehovah's witness.. 9 in south america, olga proved loyal to god by showing respect for her husband even under trying circumstances.

  for years, he expressed annoyance at her for being one of jehovah’s witnesses.

  he abused her emotionally, insulted her, refused to speak to her, and threatened to take the children and leave her.

  When it comes to being passive-aggressive, JWs top everyone. She could have just stayed home. Instead, she waited outside the church to make a public display of her contempt for his religion and police who he may talk to and where he may go before and afterward.

  Surprised she didn't set out her magazine cart as well. Gotta get those hours in.

  but, here is my question....do you think they will announce on the site that they sold the brooklyn building for $700 million?

  since the move, it has been so enjoyable to not have jw's breathing down our necks asking why we didn't make the meeting, or having to pretend to be "spiritual" in front of family all the time.. 90% of my week is virtually stress free.

  then, my mom calls or texts wanting to talk to her grandkids.

  every dang call, she asks about the new congregation, if we went to the meeting, etc.. why can't i tell her to fk off?

  for shropshire uk by the name of anthony manning has been removed and judicially reproved.

  portishead congregation in north somerset is being merged or disbanded on sept 1st 2015 due to "aging elders, poor attendance, decrepit kingdom hall and landslip" - of course the suspicion is wt just wants to sell the hall off.

  Had to go to a JW funeral yesterday.

  it's amazing how ones shun former witnesses or faders.

  a couple of people said high to me that know i do not go but the rest no.

  but the main reason i post is how ridiculous the funeral talk was.

  I'm in two minds whether I'd attend my parents funerals. Partly due to knowing I'd be shunned mostly and partly due to the fact they are just infomercials for the Watchtower.

  Had anyone who'd not met my grandparents attended their JW funerals I'd had been surprised if they'd learnt anything about my grandparents other than the fact they were JWs.
