  AK MCGRATH~ Autocorrect is an iPhone/smartphone feature. It basically finishes your words for you when you're texting. So any number of mishaps can occur.

  I'm looking at the rest of the site and literally crying and screaming with laughter... I needed this today, I'll tell ya!

  i find it amazing that a religious movement predicting the end of the world for almost 150 years, still maintains a following!

  soon, all the older zealots will be dead, the baby-boomer jws will be old and retired, and the bulk of the jw labor force will consist of all the "worldly music - listening", facebook using, living as close to the edge of wt standards as possible, youth of today.

  as they mature, grow older and began to seek social status for themselves among other jws by pursuing appointments like ms and elder, they will probably morph into a replica of their parents.

  More doctrinal flip-flops, more changes in theology (elastic generation, etc), and the number one key I think will be keeping new converts in the dark about Old Light. Cover it up, bury it in the past, so newer converts who haven't been in since before, say, the 90's won't ever know the dirty secrets of former beliefs and predictions.

  But, with the internet, anything is possible. People are leaving because of what they are finding out. However, with the WTBTS targeting thrid world countries who don't have access to clean water, let alone the Worldwide Web, I think they'll still maintain a following for a time, and maybe even flourish outside of the US and other major countries.

  Men are Adorable!

  this afternoon i had the pleasure of listening to my dad, husband and son discuss timing belts, the teeth they rest on, camshafts, and other car parts that i cant recall at such a late hour.

  they were totally engrossed in the conversation and it was fun listening to them talk.

  the air was thick with testosterone and they were so manly that i just had to smile about it.

  I agree, Robdar...wholeheartedly.

  While I, like a lot of other women, have been hurt by men since I was a little kid, I find that I appreciate the good ones all the more so because of it. I haven't been jaded into the "all men suck" mentality. I love men as a species, I've said it before. I get along better with men than I do with women. I truthfully don't really like having female friends. The very few that I've had have proven to be backstabbers and false friends and I just really despise the drama involved with interacting with other women. I'm kind of more of a Martian than a Venusian. I just don't understand my own sex, nor do I really want to and my own sex doesn't really understand me. All of my best friends are guys. Maybe it stems from the difference in the relationship I have with my mother compared to the one I have with my father. I don't know.

  I love when guys shop-talk... I understand a lot of it and can even interject a little. Funny story, my mom's car was making a funny "thud" sound under the driver's side for a while and my dad kept saying it was probably the steering column. I disagreed. Now, my dad and his family were all into auto mechanics...I mean, they did it for a living. My dad still does. I told him it sounded and felt like a front end issue...either a tie rod or a control arm or something in that vicinity. He said "Nah, nah, it's not that".... He went and checked it out... Next day, he's in the yard with the tire off, replacing the whole assembly LMAO. So I was gloating and said "Uh-huh...Now, daddy, who was right?"... He mumbled something that resembled "Eeeh shaddap" LOL.

  I find that men try so hard to be what women want them to be, and a lot of times it's never enough. They don't get appreciated the way they should be. They are more than trash taker-outers and car fixer-uppers. And the little things they do show they care...a lot of times it's stuff that goes unnoticed, but if they quit doing it, there would be a marked difference.

  Just wanna say you people with a Y chromosome rock!

  The problem with ALL of it is 1914.

  I'd love to know how they are going to make 100 years of Watchtower history and theology based on that one year disappear... I'd love to know the "satisfactory" answer they will give the R & F. I'd also love to see how many people actually walk because of it. Newer converts not so much, but those who "grew up" on 1914? I wonder what the reaction will be...
