  Project Trouble

  so awhile back i mentioned doing an 'out of your comfort zone' project for a class i'm taking.

  it's due on monday, so i have no choice but to bite the bullet and deal with jw's this weekend.

  it figures that jw's are like fred flintstone when it comes to the internet.

  Studying JWs?

  so i read this board quite often, but i don't post a lot since i'm not a jw or ex-jw.

  i recently had an idea that i thought could be a lot of fun, but i wanted to get some opinions on it.. i'm going to school for my mba and in my business ethics & social responsibility class, i am required to do an "out of your comfort zone" project.

  Field Service Injuries

  so some background -- i have two jw relatives.

  my grandma is something like 85 yrs old and has been a jw for most of her life.

  she pretty much believes everything from the wt and has dedicated her life to it.

  so some guy on youtube with user name "sweetmikser" posted a bunch of videos about the 2010 convention drama.

  my grandma mentioned how much she loves the drama, so i thought i'd see what she was talking about.

  Blood Card

  please forgive my ignorance, but what is contained in a "blood card?

  " i am sure it has something to do with the whole not accepting blood policy.

  apparently there are two names with contact numbers on it.

  More Advice

  well i posted before and got some good advice, so i thought i'd give it another go and see what happens.. to quickly explain the situtaion: my grandma is a jw with two daughters -- my aunt (who is a jw) and my mom (who is not a jw but grew up as one).

  my aunt is one of those people who reads a website like webmd and thinks she knows more than any medical doctor.

  this concerns my grandma and she talked to my mom about making an appointment with an attorney to set up my mom with power of attorney.

  What it was like...

  after posting yesterday about help with the situation with my grandma, i got an idea for mother's day.

  any of you with some spare time could probably help me out.. it has to do with better understanding my own mother.

  for those of you who were born in the 50's, could you maybe take a minute or two to help me understand what it was like to grow up as a jw especially around that time frame?

  hey guys,.

  i'm new but have been lurking for awhile and this seems like a pretty good group.

  i have a dilemma and am not sure what to do (if anything) about the situation.. my 83-year-old grandmother has been a jw for her whole life.
