Well done, sweety-pie!
I've followed your story and I'm really proud of how you handled this in such a dignified way.
We will all be here for the ups and downs that will follow, don't forget!!

i guess that my one year anniversary here has come.. i've made lots of friends... and perhaps a few enemies.. i've made people laugh... i've pissed people off.... i've made people think... i've made people cringe.... i've moved ahead in some areas of life... still stuck in some others.... i've had a lot of fun... i've had some tense moments and tears.... i've been able to make sense to people... spoke utter nonsense at other times.... to my 'fans' here: thanks for the support and having my back... .
to people who hate my guts: go ahead... take your best shot... .
either way, i win.
Keep progressing!

hi friends,.
it's been a long time.
i check in about every five years.. .
So what is it you think we should be doing to prepare?
as some of you know by now, i spent sunday, 7 august, renewing ties with a dear friend.
we're both disfellowshipped, the difference between us being he is seeking reinstatement and i am not.
we got into some very spirited discussions on different bible topics and one of them was the value of the new world translation itself.
Wonderment:
Fred Franz stated in Australia after the 1975 fiasco: "I made an ass of myself."
Hmmmm....when Moses made an ass of himself, he was denied entry into the Promised Land.......
(numbers 5:23-28) 23 and the priest must write these cursings in the book and must wipe them out into the bitter water.
24 and he must make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and the water that brings a curse must enter into her as something bitter.
25 and the priest must take the grain offering of jealousy from the womans hand and wave the grain offering to and fro before jehovah, and he must bring it near the altar.
That passage was one that always bothered me.
I mean, what if a woman was married to a jealous ass and he was wanting her to take this damn test every week??
And where is the test for an unfaithful husband??
I'm watching Gone With the Wind right now.
My favourite lines:
"As God is my witness, I shall nevah go hungry again!"
and
"But Miss Scah-lett, I don't know nothin' bout birthin' no babies!"
and please state the general area you live in, if you could.
thank you..

to the household of god, israel, and those who go with... may you all have peace.
some of you may have recently observed some discussions regarding what... or rather, who... the word of god is, truly.
in those and other threads, some participants weren't able to grasp the difference between discussion vs. contention... and defending their own faith... and love of god and christ... vs. ramming their [mis]assumptions as to the "vengeance of god"... down others' throats.
Once again, thank you, Shelby!
i was looking through my facebook and one of the friends i have on there is very angry at a particular girl who added brothers and sisters from different congregations as friends for the sole purpose of bashing the jws on their profiles.
they use the word "bashing" but who knows really if all she was doing was showing them genuine, unbiased information about the wt.
anyway, i got a kick out of the fact that an "apostate" infiltrated a lot of jw profiles as a "friend" then went all apostate on them!.
It's just too saddening to think that these JWs include someone trolling on their FB page as a "sign of the times".
"SADDENING" will have to be added to our repertoire.
Like "HAPPIFYING".
