I am sooo disappointed in myself.
I knew this, read this.
But never understood the full ramifications of what was being said. Until now.
This will be what I mediatate on for the next couple of days......
Thank you Lady Liberty!

hi everyone.... just curious how many of you knew when you were active, about the societys official teaching regarding jesus the mediator.
i was floored to find in my research, that they teach jesus is the mediator for the 144,000 only.
and it is only by our association with them that we might have salvation.. i don't know about you guys but i was blown away when i learned they taught this.

families with younger children had to sit in the last 3 rows or they were counseled!.
disfellowshipped persons were told not to sit next to each other and talk because it "looks like they're unrepentant"..
witness reactions to unplanned events or behavior is almost always hilarous
Hahaha, this reminds of something:
One time, at a congo baseball game, I got hit in the face with a baseball that was drilled into home plate. (Yes, I got a black eye.)
Everyone came rushing over, and I guess I was in shock, cus I said, "Get the hell off me!!"
And boy, did they ever clear out!!
my grandmother is 87. got the truth "on the farm" and her and my grandfather used to have meetings in their home, baptise people in their bathtub.
when she first heard that you could go door-to-door, she was in her glory.
she has always loved the service.
My grandmother is 87. Got the Truth "on the farm" and her and my grandfather used to have meetings in their home, baptise people in their bathtub. When she first heard that you could go door-to-door, she was in her glory. She has always loved the service. Always loved Jehovah. Never has doubted she will be in the Paradise. She is the wisest person I know. I believe that if Jehovah is looking for people - she is it.
She is my best freind. My parents were abusive. I lived with her and my grandfather at various times in my life. She understands me, like no other. We are very close. She tells me everything. I tell her everything.
I am now newly disfellowshipped.
Has she shunned me?
No.
Out of respect for her beliefs, we have agreed that instead of calling as aften as I was before, I will call her twice a month. (We sneak in a few more calls than that....) and I will visit her less often. ( She lives next door to my parents.)
But she knows that I need her. And she needs me. Out of 8 grandchildren (all JW's) i am the only one who calls her, visits her, looks after her. My JW parents are actively trying to steal her money. (Yes, I have proof, and am taking steps to prevent it.)
I flew to see her last week and do some stuff on her house she needed to get done. That none of the JW family will do for her. They treat her and talk to her like she is a pain in the butt.
She called me last night. She's going to the DC today. Did not even pressure me to go. She knows my situation and circumstances.
Just wanted you all to know, I guess because she is a JW. And is truly a good person. And I think she epitomises what God is really looking for.
i'm havin' a blast today listening to "the boneyard".
forgot how much i actually enjoy dio..
That's my favourite channel, too!

One year at the DC, someone had the "flash of light" that the mirrors in the bathrooms should all be papered over.
How nice it was to battle the wind across a 2-block long parking lot, trying to keep your skirt from blowing up around your neck, while hauling lunch, book bag, kids etc., only to not be able to even see if your hair was still attached to your head. when you got to the building!!!!
BTW - the Brothers were allowed to have their mirrors.....just not the sisters.
if a paedophile commits a crime against a junior there has to be, according to the watchtower two witnesses for action to be taken.. if one party of a marriage commits adultery, does there have to be the same, (two witnesses) before action is taken?.
if not........................ kt.
.
I'm still trying to wade through all the Witness-speak to understand what you're viewpoint actually is. You use so many words without saying anything at all, it's very difficult to ascertain what you really are trying to say.
OH, thank goodness.
I thought it was just me......
Satanus,
I dont know if you're asking me that question. but No, no one has ever said I was strange in a good way.
I, however, prefer to think of myself as a "woman of mystery"!
Yes, thank you. that was the phrase that eluded me....
I immediately recognize strangeness in others, because I am also strange.
Not necessarily a bad thing.....
You are strange....
