  Is Child Abuse An Issue That You Personally Have Seen In The Organization?

  as an elder, i saw one child abuse situation involving a man who wanted to be an elder and had i believe 8 children.

  he was not in our congregation when this all erupted.

  he denied it and moved to another hall and unbelievably, that body of elders wanted to appoint him since they believed his entire family was lying about him.

  I don’t want to come off wrongly here but I hope one of the ex-elders here gets called into a court hearing about a case and can expose the watchtower for how badly they direct them to handle these cases. I don’t want anything to happen to this person of course but he would have an inside knowledge and be able to speak without watchdog looming over his statements and hopefully give the court system a big awakening to these cases and then get more people to stand up.

  So sad and terrible what happened to her. I hope she is able to get through to some and show them how harmful being in the organization is. I have been keeping up to date with the UK protest and it has had some success. I hope they put videos on YouTube for all to see and get this organization out in the open even more and expose their hypocrisy and lies.

  my quora campaign of answering all jw related questions truthfully with evidence is going well.

  however, one jw had the audacity to claim that "jws do not shun".

  they seem to want to present a fake, squeeky clean image to non-members and seem to get angry when answering questions regarding shunning.. like this asshole, dennis cybulski.

  This applies to them appearing clean on the outside to the world when they are internally filthy and act just like the ones the condemn.

  What JW habits do you still have?

  since leaving the jw's after over 4 decades, i can see exactly what it is and hate everything it stands for.

  however, there are still some jw habits and traits that i can't get rid of:.

  1. i can't swear in general conversation (i'd have to be really angry).

  I am still in and I cuss I watch lord of the rings Harry Potter etc... and read all the books that really never bothered me. Hearing other religious views I still get in the jw mind and refute it till I remember it’s all bullshit. Several months ago I told a coworker I’m a witness and I still cuss in front of him. Guess I’m dying at Armageddon oh well hahaha. And what is this chocolate pudding thing I never heard of it? I had it at lunch today.

  Update after attending one day of a regional. au.

  hi all.. personal experience.

  attended a regional convention in melbourne australia.. saturday attendance,, 1,500 approx.. baptism,, 11. about 8 born ins ,,, all 8 under 20yo and 5 under 17.. 3 of the 11 appeared to be over 20 and are not born ins.. sounds about .8% increase ,,, kind of.. the outstanding part of the day was the continual reference to ' are you, can you do more'.

  ha ha fear obligation guilt.. jtg.

  I love how children have to get blackmailed into baptism nowadays. It’s no longer about being heartfelt it’s do it or you don’t get to drive. Here in the states you can’t marry till you’re 18 by yourself without a parent or guardian signing for you. Can’t drink till you’re 21 and those are major life milestones for a young person to achieve adulthood. So why in the hell are the borg cult pushing for younger and younger? Oh wait I know how else can they emotionally trap and blackmail members unless they get them young and undeveloped? So sickening

  i am am currently in that situation of being controlled in that way I’m working my way out but my wife’s family is the blackmail. It really sickens me but I have to deal with it till I can get my wife and kids free of this cult.

  The sad thing about the whole thing is that because the video is designed to bypass logic and reasoning and go straight to emotion is that the witnesses will actually cause their own persecution and many will lose their lives for something that isn’t even real. Then those ones will become martyrs for the organization and be used to trap countless more into it all.

  The new convention theme is Pick your look-aid and drink as long as it’s the flavor the gb says it can be. Hahaha. I almost honestly see something like this happening and then having some obscure scripture in the Bible that they will surely revise to make it ok. Just imagine the headlines.

  i know now I was hoping to learn of sources that are legitimate but also not associated with watchtower. I am looking to start a portfolio of sorts so I have accurate information especially when I approach my wife with it.
