Thank you dub. I appreciate your comments. I am having to slow the wife down I don’t plan on saying anything to her family till we are about to move across states. Then the biggest thing will be about answering a phone and not worrying about them showing up on our doorstep. It’s sad that it has to be that way but we all deal in our own way.

Expected pain
by former2free inlast week was a big week for me in terms of coming totally clean to my wife and her being more than on board to leave the jw’s with me.
we know what to expect but things happen from family and it still hurts just as bad.
last night my wife got a long text message from her brother that has seemed to be in the fence and he told her that same guilt tripping rhetoric that the wt uses about life in the paradise etc.

Thank you everyone! It’s alwyas easier to read and hear others experiences than it is to live through it. It really does reinforce how messed up this religion is. And dad no I don’t blame him I’m not even mad he is a product of the way he was raised just like we all are but some of us have been fortunate enough to break free from that. My wife is taking it the hardest understandibly but I am tore up over it too.

Last week was a big week for me in terms of coming totally clean to my wife and her being more than on board to leave the jw’s with me. We know what to expect but things happen from family and it still hurts just as bad. Last night my wife got a long text message from her brother that has seemed to be in the fence and he told her that same guilt tripping rhetoric that the wt uses about life in the paradise etc. He also told her that if she disassociated herself that he wouldn’t talk to her. She knows the religion is behind it but that doesn’t make the emotional toll any easier. You can read stories till you’re blue but it still doesn’t make the reality any better. My heart is aching for her as I know this isn’t the last of it either. Thanks for reading my rant.

My wife who has been waking up with me lately has been using it and realizes that the information there is accurate about the watchtower no matter what country you live in. Done,
Yes they still do the door to door preaching. They only have 3 magazines of each the watchtower and awake to place each year now and are only 16 pages long each. They are encouraged to use the videos and direct people to their website. It’s a whole different ministry now.

She literally just told me she has no problem leaving however we want to she just worries about her purpose which I understand that’s the only thing that’s gonna take some time it’s a big step but as you all have mentioned baby steps and that’s what we will do.

Good luck IFT just keep on working with her and I’m sure she will eventually go all he way. Mines on that same track she just needs to see all the real crap this organization does she still doesn’t have a grasp of that yet.

She was just asking me about a new social group and I suggested activities for the kids so they can make friends and us as well. But what’s funny where we want to move to we have nonwitness friends already so we have a head start.

Thank you for your kind words everyone. I did drop the ARC on her yesterday but she didn’t seem to think it a big deal I do hope she watches it and then she will know. But she is an awesome woman and I do look forward to us breaking free totally together. And one other thing that’s gonna help is big time is we are gonna move away from her parents that are still in so that’ll make things easier.
