Good catch Lost generation, I was just about to post almost the same thing. Look out , the sisters will stalk prey and they see you as weak and well, maybe he would rather have a more "spiritual woman". Good slap down is right, don't let one of them take your man.

BESTSELLERS--who actually buys these things?
by Terry injust think, rush limbaugh and bill o'reilly are knocking about on top of the bestseller list to the tune of 52,000+ copies each!.
i say, who buys these books?.
i've read killing lincoln, killing kennedy and killing jesus--but, i did it by sitting in the library--not by plopping down $20+ bucks each.. i only read one rush limbaugh book.. i use to be a political junkie but stopped cold turkey exactly 11 months ago.. i no longer watch any political programs or read any political books.. i'm a lot happier for it it, too.. .

the half price book store I frequented a few years ago had a massage table. I hope they start selling coffee etc. I love browsing book stores. They carry music , interesting gifts and tarot cards.

Charles Krauthammer is worth reading. He is very intelligent. He was a liberal and became conservative, but he is moderate and interesting to read. his personal life story ( found on Wiki) is worth reading too. I enjoy his columns.

We buy political books. We enjoy reading them. I don't watch as much political TV /radio as I used to b/c it is exhausting.

I thought she was funny, sort of reminded me of Ellen DeGeneres . The ending seemed to stop abruptly so I would like to have heard her finish. wow the age of reason is not just a jws concept and it was clear she was comparing God to Santa Claus.

I believe in a Creator who is called by many names worldwide. I once was very religious but the WTS showed me what double standards are and how to lie and call it theocratic. I then hated religion and God to some degree. I went through a new agey spiritual phase with tarot cards and all that but eventually realized they are just cards but can sometimes help you with introspection. Now I find myself turning back to mainstream Christianity b/c this is where I feel comfortable. I do not want to be a part of any evangelizing religion but one that really gives back and helps the community. I have looked around and when I decide to attend church again it will probably be at an Episcopalian church. The only purpose of church that I can see is to bring believers together so they can encourage each other and for the church to give back to the community through food banks and other charitable works. The church just gives you a community .
The Bible is worth reading and can be of benefit in my life. I think the Bible has probably been tampered with by persons with an agenda. There seems to be a number of contradictions in the Bible but still the Bible is helpful to me.
I recently saw a an "upworthy" video that showed a friendly debate and the believer said he believed in God but thought he had a lot of unauthorized fan clubs that embarrassed him.

Why do so-called believers need my approval or that of any atheist?
by Band on the Run inrecent posts from those who may mistakenly consider themselves "believers" demand a safe haven in this forum.
they don't like associating with atheists or someone like me.
of course, there are hundreds of thousands of sites for christian discussion already set up on the internet.

BTW, the word "you" is a universal you, not directed specifically at you BOTR. .

I don't need anyone's approval. It would be nice if believers or other groups ( people who like tarot and things of that sort) did not have to contend with abusive posts from others.. This is especially true when the thread is geared toward believers and not a debate thread. Sometimes groups just like to talk among themselves but it seems some can't let that happen. Someone must jump in the thread to make sure all of the believers know they are very ignorant or just plain stupid. The folks who like tarot and things of that sort can't even have a discussion without mean posts.
We can all understand if you don't agree, but why bother other folks who just want to talk? Can't the atheists talk among themselves?
Or does everyone who does not agree with your version of religion have to be set straight?

Mind blown, I'm sorry , glad you are still here.
If you go back from 2000-2003 you will find so whopper disagreements ( to put it mildly)
" While in many ways they will still use the site to learn what is happening in the religion, without having to go to a Kingdom Hall. "
That is a very interesting point. Never thought of it like that.
