  The insensitivity and opportunistic nature of witness at the 9/11 site !

  i saw an online post with pictures of all the witnessing carts all around the 9/11 site during the anniversary of the tragedy.... im appalled at how opportunistic they are, and how they prey on people in a mourning and vulnerable state!.

  apparantly they boast of: "there are 65 carts, with 200 witnesses manning the area... and so far 15 new studies started!".

  It is not just the jws , although I just about hurled seeing the post about with all those brain-washed smiling faces. It seems a lot of religions are beatings the drums about the great tribulation, end of times etc. Many people are frightend that the world is about to face and ending, not just jws. I hate to admit this but I have fallen into this trap a bit myself. With Islam on the march things are looking kind of scary.

  I can see why 15 people gave them contact info, they are frightened.

  but mrs king insisted she was wearing a bikini.. its not shameful or wrong to wear a bikini when youre pregnant, she said.. a neighbour said: it is a crazy sight a half naked pregnant woman protesting outside a private school.. the kings, who described themselves as missionaries at the time, became even angrier when they replaced the hedge with a fence and the school removed it, saying it was on their land.. the family was accused of dumping rotting rubbish on the disputed boundary line, hanging washing outside the window of school head deborah berkin, and playing loud music during school hours.. milton keynes council confirmed it had been called out several times by the school over dumping, while environmental health officials were monitoring the music levels.. mrs king vowed she would continue to fight, saying: the school had no right to take away our privacy.. three months later little ashya was born.. today jehovahs witnesses across the city are remembering the family fondly and praying for ashyas treatment to be a success.. meanwhile neighbours who once watched mrs kings bikini protests are full of admiration for her courage in defying the nhs.. one said: she is a woman not scared of doing battle.

  Since when has any jws woman in good standing ever walked about in a bikini , esp while pg? she would be the talk of our town, but it is the Bible belt here . I can't beleive the elders never said a word to her about her conduct. since when do jws take part in protests?

  other than the story, the comments are very interesting, tons of comments by other blacks claiming the same thing happens to them.

  not only other blacks but their families as well bully them, calling them oreo, traitor, etc.

  simply because your ancestors were white, you benefit from white privilege. You are pulled over less often by the police, you enjoy a higher employment rate and can shop in public without suspicion, among other things.

  you say this like it is absolute fact everywhere. Where I have lived poor whites were not treated any better than blacks or mexicans. Indeed there was prejudice but not just toward blacks. Mexicans in this area were often treated worse than blacks and poor whites were refused service just as blacks.

  Please speak about what you know about. i can only speak for the area I grew up in and have lived all my life.

  I suspect you are around 50, that is when I realized my time was limited.

  I am still in shock over Joan Rivers death. Yes she was 81 but she was in good health with great energy. She was such a force in comedy. Men get called strong, women just get called a bitch. I will miss her a lot.

  awhile a go i was uptight about a matter i can't remember now and my friend said to me " give the other side the victory".

  a while ago my little boy was getting uptight and argumentative with his mum i asked him " to let it go" in effect i suppose " giving the other side the victory".

  anyway i am sure our life exsperiences have allowed us both receive and give good advice.
