  how do we know when we interpretate correctly?

  i would like your help on this matter of the interpretation of the bible, because many people say we interpretate diffently and we have diffent understanding.

  how do we know when we interpretate the bible correctly?.

  i have a relative for instance says the gay sex life is ok and they interpretated the bible to back up the right to live a gay life.. how can i prove their interpretation is wrong?.

  Why are you attacking Kent's board. You started it! You don't really understand why we are here. Do you? This isn't a game for most of us here. This about coming to grips with reality. I think you should do the same. You JW boyfriend has not really left the JW mentality and he may never. That's real!

  Maybe you could try posting all these sex threads over on a Catholic recovery forum. Then see if YOUR fellow Catholics will tolarate it as Simon has for the sake of freedom.

  What do all these sex threads have to do with JWs? Really Bee...why do you post all this stuff. It only chases JWs away. That's the truth!

  I'm not attacking you Bee just trying to make you think about your behavior and how it effects others!

  Lilacs that's what's I like about Kent's board my threads don't get lost in all these sex threads. Since it is slow it gives others a chance to make a thoughtful reply. Before it is forgotten...

  i would just like to thank everyone for the excellent posts that have appeared here on this site.

  i esp would like to thank simon for making this possible.

  i sincerely believe that the "net thang" will continue to play a role in helping jw who are sincerely searching for a confirmation that all their doubts and wondering over the years was not the result of them being spiritually weak.

  after many years of limited contact, my jw sister and i are now getting along very well.

  after many years of limited contact, i don't ever want to see or talk to one of my jw cousins.. here are some things she has done.. 1. my mother was disfellowshipped because she could not quit smoking.

  at a family gathering at a nonjws house, my cousin said my mother should not be invited because she was disfellowshipped.

  R&F JWs Eager for Dateline?!

  had an interesting talk while visiting my jw son-in-law this past weekend.

  out of the blue he tells me that there are some brothers and sisters in his congregation who know about the dateline program, and who have called or written dateline urging them to run the show!!

  these are active jws.

  Most JWs will be appaledl to learn about their policies. It won't change their whole beliefs system. Just as it doesn't change many Catholics. However, It could be the beginning for some to start questioning blind obedience to the org.

  in fact i've heard lots of dodgey stories about them including them being a money grabbing, brain washing cult.. just wondered how wide spread they are though.

  they have a big base near here.

  They are a publishing firm too. They sell their books to members, mostly wealthy professional, at $100.00 each. The same quality as the Proclaimer book. Then they charge fees for their therapy (clearing). They only seek wealthy members.

  Men just can't stop looking at me.........

  ok, i admit, it was a beautiful day here, 80 degree's, sunny, absolutely gorgeous.........well, i was just soooooooooo hot that i took my shirt off and did some yard work topless....my gosh, all the guys in my nieghborhood all of a sudden came out and started doing some lawn work also...one car even ran off the road into a telephone pole, i hurried over to see if the driver was ok, and thankfully he was, as he put his head on my chest to rest.

  i asked him he was thirsty, cuz he was drooling......he said yes, and we went inside and had a nice cold glass of lemonade..
