Out of my family I have 8 sisters and myself. 3 sisters never became JW's. As of the other 5, only one has left the JW's (BTW all my sisters are 40+) The one sister that left has two kids who are no longer JW's and my other sister who has kids are no longer attending meetings nor do they have the desire to attend in the future. Also myself, the youngest of the bunch is no longer a JW, and my child is not being raised as a JW. So to answer your question I would have to agree that the younger crowd is fisseling out and hopefully once all the old die off there wont be much of that horrendous cult.

How Much of an Impact is Being Made by Young JW' s Leaving the Cult ?
by flipper inwe have read threads where statistics show that 2 out of every 3 people raised as jehovah's witnesses eventually leave once they get in their 20's to 30's and out on their own.
my children and my nieces and nephews are between the ages of 21 to 35 .
out of those 8 people - 4 of them have completely stopped attending meetings .

Living With Regret - what do YOU regret about being in the org?

2. dating worthless, lazy, no work ethic, selfish 'brothers' who were supposedly approved all because they were baptized - but in the end - were a waste of my time and younger years in dating.. 3. subjecting my bf (back in the day) who was a non-jw to the whole jw experience!
i demanded that he study, i demanded that he change his religion in order to be with me, i made him sit with my parents and listened to them berate him (and myself) while they fed him all their haughty beliefs and requirements in order to date their jw daughter.

There's alot that I regret. 20 years of my life was waisted because of the Borg. (and thats small compaired to most people here) I really want to count my losses and move on with my life. There is so much I missed out on that I would not even be able to begin. All I can do is raise my son without the cult lifestyle and see how he turns out to get a limps of the life I could of had.

by finding my way ini've read a few other threads about cult mind control as well as steven hassans book comabatting cult mind control.
i also read a thread questioning the watchtowers motives.
are they in it for the money or what?

I'm sure somebody the the Watchtower Development Department knows what they're doing. Their systems of mind control are to good to be accidental. They own the pure definition of cult mind control.

by Joshnaz inmy sister who is a active jw texted me today to let me know that her boyfriend who is "studying" is going to give his first talk a week from this wednesday.
i always thought you had to be a publisher to speak on stage.
oh ya, not to mention he still smokes cigaretts.
