So I guess Armageddon is truly coming for Russian JWs. Meanwhile, all is clear here on the North American front.
Perhaps Armageddon is going to be a regional thing.
our sources in the russian front do confirm it.
service desk of russian branch is being transferred urgently to finland.. до свидания russia :).

what is the normal attitude as to working overtime?
.
how many hours do you work in a week?.
I work anywhere from 9 to 16+ hour days. Overtime is mandatory in my job. But the horrible OT doesn't always happen and I'm not always busy. We used to work a 7.5 hour work day but as our company went 'global', that was altered to an 8 hour day (which is really a fantasy at least for me). I work at least an hour or more of overtime every day (and I don't get paid for it).
A close friend of mine works like 60+ hour weeks. This is the new North American corporate model. They've actually congratulated themselves on keeping expenses being down but increasing productivity. They do this by piling workload on people instead of hiring. It's month by month, quarter by quarter. Most companies are now about managing expenses. She and I are both burning out.
I want to be more like kairos, kaik, or joe.
i've been using the forum to vent and post a lot more frequently lately as a venting purpose & way to obtain peace of mind with the craziness i've been going through recently as i fade away form the org.
anyways today i'm sitting here at work and thinking to myself about demons... ok i know this sounds crazy but has anyone else out there been traumatized by the thought of demons?
i had a dream the other night, just flat out spooky and i woke and couldn't help but feeling it may have been evil ole' satan and his demons at it again.. i don't want to believe that, (trying not to, & just brushing it under the rug so to speak) but have any of you out there been talked up about demons?
The brain controls everything. I suggest feeding it useful information and not religious claptrap. Take a critical thinking course. Alter the way your brain thinks.
I used to have horrible nightmares about Armageddon, for some reason my version was being drowned by a tidal wave deep inland (I don't live anywhere near any major coastline). Once I discovered Armageddon was a fantasy dreamt up by religious wackos, those nightmares stopped. The 'falling off the cliff' dreams have also ceased.
With my Dad's dementia, he was seeing things that weren't there. Like the house being on fire several times at 2 and 3 in the morning (so why wasn't the smoke alarms going off?), or the several drug deals that were happening on my street (NOT).
He also told me he forgot to feed the cows and was so distraught over that. I assured him it was ok as he sold them years ago.
Every mystery ever solved has turned out to be NOT magic.
the cover of the 2016 september watchtower has an islander couple preaching.
the brother looks like he may be fijian in a traditional skirt standing in a river, doing a presentation on an apple ipad.
i can't imagine there are many families that can afford an ipad in the pacific islands.
I find it very interesting that JWs never seem to be preaching to real tribal peoples? You know, the ones that don't wear much, if any, clothing and carry large spears or bows and arrows?
in a discussion about the best flavour of ice cream everybody's opinion is equally valid.. in a discussion about the shape of the earth or the origin of species everybody's opinion is equally irrelevant.
only objective facts and evidence matter.. confusing these two categories is a common feature of conversations in this forum.
people deserve respect, errors do not..

what do you guys think?.
are they only some uber religious zealots or do they pursue hidden agendas beyond religiosity?.
Seriously, how can anyone in the industrialized world state there is more evidence of the existence of God's Kingdom in Heaven than evidence supporting the existence of electricity, gravity, and wind?! (ala Stephen Lett)

Just as a general suggestion for those on the board, if you are posting sarcastic comments, I suggest placing them between the following delimiters:
<sarcasm> write text here </sarcasm>.
That way, there will be no confusion.

They think they do, but in reality, they do not.
For example, if you took these guys and dropped them in the middle of the Kalahari desert, would they be able to survive? I'm thinking no.
thank you to everyone who made it out to the beach yesterday.
it was a fantastic event.
by my count, there were about 60 people.
That's a very nice picture, Happy Guy. I really like it.
Thanks so much for sharing this. Wish I could have been there. Instead I was in the office meeting up with a colleague from Newfoundland. He told us about 'Iceberg Towing'. I think this could be my next career move!
so after almost a year of complete inactivity and non attendance, i ran into a nice brother from the local congregation.. after some nice chit-chat, he says "we really miss you and your family...etc...you were always the kind and supportive one, the approachable and encouraging one in the congregation.
your absence has confused so many".
i thanked him and said "oh no, no individual has stumbled us.
I watched my parents become disabled thinkers thanks to Botchtower. Both my parents also became chronically ill. The human brain is meant to be inquisitive. Attempting to shut this down causes problems.
