Angry Bees
by exwhyzee inat one of the last meetings i was at 2 years ago, one of the kingdom songs that they sang, had a verse in it that said something about the people in the world being like angry bees .... or molested bees or something like that.
in all the years i had been in the org.
(my whole life) i had somehow missed this ridicioulous verse.

WARNING - IF YOU DON'T WANT THIS SONG STUCK IN YOUR HEAD DO NOT READ THIS POST
Song 125
“Jehovah Is on My Side”
(Psalm 118:6)
1. My heart upon Jehovah God
Is steadfast, firm, reliant.
It’s my desire to walk his ways
And always be compliant.
Along life’s path there may appear
Distressing circumstances,
But God is ever on my side.
His love my heart entrances!
(Chorus)
2. I know that in this crucial hour
My faith will yet be tested.
Around me swarms the Devil’s crowd
Like bees that were molested.
But I can ever beat them off(Snicker)
Beneath divine protection.
On those who love to bear his name,
God sets his deep affection.
(Chorus)
3. Jehovah God has now enlarged
His holy nation’s borders.
For many flock to do his will
And keep his laws and orders.
He gives support to all such ones;
In them he takes great pleasure.
May I, with them, e’er zealous be
In overflowing measure.
(CHORUS)
Jehovah God is on my side;
I’ll praise and exalt him forever. -

GodBlock, a new web filter that blocks religious content. Stuff like this makes me wonder about the Babylon the Great doctrine.
by miseryloveselders inhttp://www.godblock.com/.
i mentioned before that i don't agree with the wt's interpretation of who babylon the great is.
however, i can't deny that people are more open today about being closed towards religious interference in their lives.

I wouldn't worry too much one way or another about what John was writing while he was on some powerful halllucinogenics. Revelation is just a ripoff of the Book of Enoch that BARELY made it into the Canon, and probably shouldn't have.
Regardless of any of that, if it was important for god to relay to his followers exactly what all of this nonsense means, he should have used more explicit terms than Babylon the Great and Wild Beast. That would have left it less open to such outrageous speculation for the past 2,000 years. The World Empire of False Religion, indeed!

Cult Discussion w/ Steve Hassan - many JW parallels
by Mad Sweeney inhttp://www.factnet.org/?p=651.
it's a web page, not a youtube that can be embedded unfortunately.
good conversation if you have time to listen to it..

It upsets me that in general, media outlets and people like Hassan are far more willing to go after groups like Scientologists than Mormons or JWs. Scientologists are insignificant in number, despite their high-profile converts.

Watchtower installs a "Trojan Horse" in their followers and take over their brain
by TastingFreedom ini'm convinced jw's are under sooo much brainwashing and fully indoctrinated that their brains are disabled.
they will never analyze or question any beliefs.
it is all about the emotions, their brains are literally paralyzed.

Does this mean that rational argumentation about religion is useless? The answer may be disappointing. Religious belief is not bound to regular standards of evidence and logic. It is not about logic but about something more intuitive and primal. Arguments with believers start from a false premise -- that the believer is bound by the rules of debate rather than being bound by the belief itself. The freethinker assumes that the believer is free to concede; but this is rarely true. At best the bits of logic or evidence put forth in an argument go into the hopper with a whole host of other factors. And yet each of us who is a former believer (we number in the millions) reached some point in our lives when we simply couldn't sustain our old certainties. Our sense of knowing either eroded over time or abruptly disappeared. So sometimes those hoppers do fill up.

The only thing certain is death, cease of existence. Anything after that is just pointless speculation.

I apologize for not being able to post more often. I can ONLY do it at work.
lol...I remember that action. Read the entire CoC on a PDF at work - I'd print out a chapter and read it in the bathroom, write down references so I could check them at the KH library to make sure Franz wasn't doctoring them....after the first couple chapters I gave that up once everything checked out. Reading everything I could find, still can't believe I didn't get fired.

It's a little silly to think that God would be so vain and petty as to care who or what we call him.

"Encouragement"
Edit: I didn't write that to be a jackass about spelling, lol., Didn't notice that til after I posted it. Put encouragement in quotes because it is fake JW "encouragement", which means get back to meetings go in field service do more more more for the publishing company. And it should only be referred to with the aid of quote-fingers.
