  the jw's must not trust their members or at least don't have too much faith in them when it comes to being alone around member of the opposite sex.

  i can remember one time in particular from when i was a teenager that still makes me laugh today.. when i was younger i used to go out in service on a regular basis during the week when i had summer break.

  one time when i met for service there were only two other people that showed up.

  same thing happened to me -

  an 83 year old sister wouldnt go out in service with me because it would be a "bad example"....

  and then when i dated a girl, we had to drive seperately everywhere, even if it were 30 or 40 miles away...

  when my friend was getting married, he drove down here seperately with his fiancee, 300 miles...

  and then his car broke down

  so he had me give him a ride back

  they probably did, just not with the strange requirements and stringent rules around them.

  that is what gets the jws every time. They have alot of right ideas, but their "organization" ruins it all with arbitrary rules and weirdness.

  challenge: do you agree that 10 greek words unite to show that the holy spirit ~ is (a person) ~ like jesus?.

  the spirit, our 1helper/advocate/lawyer, is the 2holy, 3everlasting, 4eternal, 5lord, 6god, who is 7truth, & 8raised up christ, & 9makes alive; & we should be 10baptized in his name.. the wt claims: ~ "the scriptures themselves unite to show that god's holy spirit is not a person"(insight p.1019, & aid p.1543).. the scriptures themselves show just the opposite !.

  10 greek words prove, that what is true of god the son (&/or god the father) is also true of god the holy spirit.

  What were you going to (wait to) do in the new system?

  i was reading on jwr a thread that linked to these funny indian music videos that weere "subtitled" in english (very funny if you have seen them...) and the thread author was like, "after armageddon if i get resurrected i'm totally going to direct indian music videos".

  which is all sorta beside the point, but prompted me to think back and try to recall what exactly i planned to do in the new system.

  you know- we all had those things we really wanted to do but were going to "wait until the new system to..." do whatever.. so: are you actually doing those things now, or were they totally unrealistic and fairytale type stuff like "riding a tiger up mt everest and snowboarding down"??

  Living together - Living in sin?

  i was df'd for moving in with my then boyfriend (now husband).

  that was ten years ago.. my husband and i lived together for about 5 and a half years before we got married.

  from day one we both talked about getting married and having children in the future but we wanted it to be something more special than a quick juant to a registry office for appearances sake.

  if you don't want to obey the rules, don't be a part of it.

  in a strictly Biblical stance, it's immoral to have SEX before marriage.

  but to live together? I don't see why. of course, if you live together, you are automatically sexing, according to the BOE.

  they are probably right ;) but not nessecarily. If you have conditions laid out, and goals, etc... you can avoid it.
