You're not a bonafide apostate until you've denied the holy Governing Body as your personal savior at least 3 times, and have engaged in some dangerous 'independent thinking'.
Seriously, though - Welcome!

i did not know where to start, but figured the personal experience section was a good place to begin.
won't bore you with all the particulars today....but i was raised in "it" (wont call it the truth, cause it ain't) from about 1968. baptized in 1985, faded about 2001.....woke up from the insanity after reading ray franz forbidden book a few years ago(crisis).
only sorry i did not read it earlier....but there was that fear factor instilled in me.

god may as well forgive short people for a lack of height as to forgive them for their sin!.
god's "superior" standards are merely the difference between his nature and how he made humans!.
deliberately creating inferior creatures and then burdening them with infinitely superior standards of thought and conduct.
I always likened it to handing a loaded gun to a kid and being shocked when the kid shoots himself in the head.
Hey, that's my analogy! And you left out the part where God disguises the hand-gun as a delicious fruit.

Nothing in the universe makes sense if you go looking for 'perfection'.
Did 'god' create the sun perfect? If it's perfect, why does it have a finite amount of fuel and a finite lifespan? If a god was writing the rules of the universe, why bother with that rule? In most any computer simulation I've seen of nature (or any video game), the light-source is implemented as a simple constant - it is not given a finite amount of time or fuel - it just exists. If I can do that in my 'virtual worlds', why couldn't god in the real world?
Likewise, were the sun made perfect, why is it blasting radiation all over the place, and then 'god' then had to implement a magnetosphere around our planet to protect us from? Why the hack? Why not just make the sun 'perfect' for life - clean and everlasting?
As I said in another thread, I think it is biblical anti-wisdom to say humans are not perfect. What we some seem to perceive as imperfection can often be attributed to mutual-exclusive compromise. Just as a particular car design must inevitably have strengths and weaknesses when measured across multiple performance dimensions - so it's true with life. Humans are good at some things, not so good at others.
If Adam and Eve were perfect yet they ate the fruit - then bad decisions are not excluded by perfection. If perfect people can make bad decisions that hurt others - how would that be any different from today?

i scream out sometimes.
am i angry at a 'being' that i don't think exists?
or the embedded concept?.
Atheists talking to God makes about as much sense as Christians talking to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

then wtf are they?.
why don't they like that term?.
The WTS say they are NOT Creationists.
Ooo, critical mistake. You've assumed the WTS knows what it is talking about.
What they mean to say is that they are not Young Earth Creationists. They are clearly still Old Earth Creationists.

sometimes when i see insect here in my home, i just put a drinking glass over it and let it die slowly.
am i that cruel?
.
Could be worse. The bug could encounter a cat - which would bite all it's legs off and then let it starve to death.

i just got the "come be my follower" book and am shocked at their illustration on page 186. maybe i'm more shocked that at one time i would have accepted this warped reasoning.. first they quote jesus at matt.
7:21-23: "'lord, lord, did we not...perform many powerful works in your name?
' and yet then i will confess to them: i never knew you!
It is amazing how JW's can justify the most unloving and hurtful practices - often from just one or two scriptures - and then go on to condemn those doing the loving and merciful things the bible commands in over a dozen scriptures (thanks NeonMadman). Absolutely incredible.
How can there be any doubt that among Christians they do not follow the true spirit of the scriptures?

ever wonder why when you refer to "god", it's like speaking a foreign language?.
it is a foreign language, if speaking to a churchoid!.

Nobody is responding to you because your writings are clearly written in ignorance. There is nothing enlightened, thought-provoking, or original about it.
As is the case with this topic - unless you are attending these churches and taking notes, how can you say what goes on there? The blog completely ignores the fact that not all Christian religions teach the trinity. Your perspective is so obviously blinded by Watchtower induced ignorance that I immediately assume anything having the name "MadJW" on it will be painfully one-dimensional, unresearched, devoid of real facts, poorly argued, and tedious to read. You write as though your opinions are automatically proven fact because you say so. This makes your articles unpleasent to read for anyone but yourself.
Judging by the seemingly egotistical and antagonizing way you respond to critics - you no-doubt consider your articles to be brilliant, damning proofs against everything you don't agree with. I doubt anybody here except you consider them to be even 1% of that. You just bumped this thread 4 times in a row - showing a complete disregard for online etiquette, and you don't seem to successfully interact with anybody here. It's like watching a train wreck.
So anyway, my general response to everything you post is to roll my eyes and move on. You do make a good mockery out of your faith, however.

i had coffee with my jw mother today.
it was the weekend of her circuit overseers visit.
"a very nice man" according to her.
I've seen a few such graphs promoted by Christian websites. Usually upon inspection of their source (if they even list one) I'll find that these graphs reflect the number of recorded earthquakes rather than reported earthquakes. All these graphs really reflect is the increase in seismological recording stations. The USGS (the people who actually study earthquakes) has repeatedly stated that they have seen no indication that earthquakes are on the rise - they're just getting better at aggregating the data.

There's dihydrogen monoxide in tap water as well - and it is a well-documented killer. A small amount in your lungs can be fatal, as are larger doses taken orally.
There are skeptics, there are alarmists, and then there are 'floride in the water' folks.
(There are actually good articles out there regarding water fluoridation - articles with references which in a non-alarmist way convey the results of real research and the risks. This isn't one of them.)
