Not that it'll sway my family who buy into Whole Foods and "alternative medicine" as if it were perscribed by the Watchtower... but thanks for that, ziddna. Very interesting. My family used to shop at Wild Oats, so I'll print the wikipedia article and highlight that myself, in case they ever dare "ask a question" for themselves.

Zid: There is also the huge number of often overlooked regional "farmer's markets" to choose from here...
Even average supermarkets including my neighboorhood Safeway are featuring products in their produce department that are flagged "Locally Grown!" (listing Colorado or neighboring states as the source)... While "Whole Foods" just strikes me as a Walmart "buy all" (and over-price) that is equally willing to sell-out when it comes to honesty.

Sorry.. but this is a perfect example of "Don't believe everything you see on YouTube, kids!" The guy in the original video didn't make a very compelling case, his "facts" came without any sources, and by admitting that he couldn't "follow the money" himself, he wasn't organized or qualified to create any sort of case for his accusations.
He basically says "I'm not very resourceful, I'm not competent, and I can't figure this out for myself.. so it must be a giant conspiracy!" Hardly compelling stuff.

If "individual words" are as deep a thing as you can put together at once - then you'll never understand. Rick speaks lies and then he doesn't appoligize for it when those lies are exposed. His behavior on this forum is far more offensive than individual words could ever be. Being truthful should be "posting guideline"..

HintOfLime..... have you read some of the offensive posts made on this thread.... Rudeness, discourteous and frivolously disrespectful comments including vulgar language ..... and you are upset because I use the term moral coward.
I am upset because you really do think so highly of yourself that you can JUDGE other people, able to decern their moral character.
If people are rude to you, consider this: perhaps it is because of the way YOU behave. Radical thought. "I'm not meeting up to Brother Fearon's standards! I need to behave just like him to be approved, or he'll call me a 'coward'." Screw that shit - you talk just like the watchtower - demanding respect but earning none. Who freaking cares what Rick Fearon thinks? Rick Fearon promotes lies and exaggerations on his show, and when those things are exposed, he doesn't appologize for it or come clean. Rick Fearon is behaves just like the Watchtower.
There are much better moral standards to live up to in this world than Rick Fearon's morals (the ones YOU set for yourself and clearly demonstrated here.. Or to put it simply - if you haven't needed to appologize for anything... do you consider yourself perfect?).

If more had the courage to step forward and protest in front of their kingdom hall , The Watchtower would be out of business in a short time.
No it wouldn't. Religion thrives on opposition. JW's are taught that "Satan" hates "true religion" - hating them just provides a real-world "satan" for them.
Irrelevance is what takes the wind out of their sails. By providing such real-world opposition, you become a literal manefestation of "satan", and drive home the point.
You are doing exactly waht the Watchtower wants you to do. You give strength to the Watchtower's doctrine. Most people on this board are smart enough to realize that is what you are doing WILL NOT WORK.
It is great to see that you have no fear of The Watchtower , more than I can say for some of the moral cowards who post on this forum.

This forum has (for reasons far beyond my meger comprehension) allowed you to freely advertise your "LOOK AT HOW IMPORTANT I AM" crap here... and you respond to that by continually insulting this community. Additionally - it is not cowardice to refuse to participate in something that is stupidly ineffective at improving the human condition. The world really does have much, much bigger problems than Jehovah's Witnesses.

Really, I think any organization that is exempt from taxes should be required to provide 100% transparency.. Organizations - including religions - that don't spend an appropriate majority of their income on genuine humanitarian efforts (not self-serving efforts like distributing literature) should lose exempt status.
The "New Life Church" is a terrific example - a giant complex with it's own theater and recreation center complete with basketball court - not to mention a second-story office complex with it's own IT and Web departments. It competes with local gyms, child-care centers, and other entertainment businesses and does so tax-free. It really is big business.
