Beautiful place - love the hiking, but terrible for social activities in my opinion.

my wife and i are thinking of moving our family to a better place in the us....away from jw family and out of the southern bible belt.
just curious how many of you live around co and, more specifically, near fort collins?
of course, we're open to any city that is less conservative and has awesome summer weather and outdoor activities.

in the bible satan is likend to a dragon.
and in reading the revelation book, i can clearly remember images of a big red dragon being cast to earh.
what i want to know, is if there were never any bones or evidence found that dragons existed, how the hell did the people of old know what the bible was talking about if they didnt know what a dragon was?.
It's actually pretty simple: Ancient people were just plain superstitious and ignorant.
Or in other words: they were very stupid.
It's fun, really. Imagine playing Age of Empires and your empire is the ancient Jews.... Everytime you get a shipment of food, they burn half of it to keep you happy and the dragon away! Wouldn't that make you happy?

Yeah sorry to annoy you, its obviously a survey with satanic bias.... (snip) To you that may be confusing, to me it makes perfect sense.
Well.. that is a refreshingly pursuasive, well-reasoned argument. It didn't factor in the satanic bias!
Perhaps we can account for the satanic bias... say 5%, maybe 10% satan...?

i hate doing this type of thread.
none of us are perfect, least of all myself, and i would rather focus any criticism on the watch tower society for damaging people's lives.
however, in the short period since i've been a member of this forum i've noticed one member in particular deteriorate in his behaviour into the type of individual who threatens to undermine the credibility of the entire website.
When did this turn into a kingdom hall?
Brothers! (wide, inclusive gesture) We are not alone in considering this matter! Jehovah's has provided to us a prophet (gesture toward Rick who is kneeling in prayer at corner stage) to guide us. Let us show faith in this matter, and wait patiently on Jehovah (emphatical gesture toward sky) and His servant to show us the way.
Now I must ask of you brothers - go off to the Mount of Screens and wait there quietly for six days and six nights. May Jehovah (big gesture) bless you, and give peace to you and your households. (Audience applauds while men in suits replace a token prop stool with a foam rock and and wooden bench.)

Wasn't there recently a poll where it turned out athiests knew more about the bible and religion than the majority of Christians? (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/28/us/28religion.html?src=me&ref=general)
I'd hardly call that 'unfamiliar'.

now is a good time to start making preparations for the memorial night demonstration at your kingdom hall thursday, april 5, 2012, after sundown.. close to 20 million people will attend this annual global witness event including active witnesses, relatives and friends of witnesses, bible studies, return visits and still attached former witnesses.
the evils of the watchtower org.have to be exposed and this is an ideal time to do it.. many around the world have been adversely affected by their association with jehovah's witnesses and you can be an instrumental force by standing tall and courageously exposing the watchtower organization.. there is no better way to let the watchtower know your revulsion than to broadcast and present your view by standing fearlessly, demonstrating in front of a kingdom hall.. i am fully aware that a handful of the internet therapists who post on this forum will not agree with this method of unmasking the watchtower.. those intolerant, contemptuous critics who will comment on this thread making harsh judgements and finding fault with those who protest are perhaps deep-down wishing they had the backbone to stop hiding in cyber-space, step away from their computer and "get out of the bleachers and into the game" .
lets make this a global event!......
What happens when you do nothing?......... NOTHING!
And yet even doing nothing is better than suffering a loss.
Rather than do nothing and gain nothing, you go out and create a net loss... then proudly parade your mug around like "Look at me! Look at my face, and my big name! I reinforce everything the WT says about apostates!" You make truth-speakers out of the WT, Rick. Even JW's on the edge would rather have a laugh and joke with shallow friends than go outside and listen to some egomanic making an ass of himself. Even if they get curious and listen to your show - it's so full of bullshit and exaggerations it again re-confirms what the WT says.
Buy a damn whiteboard and think of something new that might result in a net positive. You can't even find more than a dozen ex-JWs to agree with you, and that's fail of epic proportions. You can't even preach effectively to the choir, and that takes a very, very special kind of bonehead.
Better to have a 2-man team than a 3-man team where the third guy is incompetent.

The "game" is not effectively fought in KH parking lots. (And it isn't a game. The entire existance of good thinking people is at stake... so please stop being such a low-efficiency screw-up.)

people who didn't get what they wanted for christmasculture buzz this is so, so sad.. .
Lol, these kids would be pissed - I got a free ipad and a free iphone last year.
They sat in a drawer for months and then I gave them away to friends. I'll take technology that is open for me to decide what I want and what I don't want anyday over flashy consumer-brained shit. (What else could I do with it? A bunch of "apps" to do things that are free on the net or PC already? No thanks, I'm not stupid.)
