  Jehovah's Witnesses: Who Can Baptize?

  if you're a jehovah's witness and you have a child, spouse, or buddy who wants to be baptized, can you baptize them yourself if they request it?

  this is assuming you're a jehovah's witness in good standing.

  and is it common in the church?.

  That is the JW doctrine in the whole stupid nutshell.

  "Look, a body of water. What prevents me from being baptized?"

  Well.. the whole JW ritual of course!!

  You cannot baptize yourself in the name of Jesus! You have to answer all the questions in a WT publication Jesus said nothing about, being baptized in the name of the .. father, son, and holy spirit WT Society... then you have to pass by that body of water and wait for a district convention.

  My brother died tonight

  just got word that my youngest brother died of pancreatic cancer.

  he was diagnosed in early august.

  this has been really tough for me and my family..

  It's not a big secret. Hollywood made a movie about.

  I tried to get on board with Christ, but he was all "Sorry, Arc's 1-5 are full man you'd have to have like a billion dollars and be friends with some republicans to get on one of those".

  Turns out India got wind of it and built a bunch of arcs as well, although they estimate I got for them was in square cubits and my accomindations were made out of wood, so I'm not so sure....

  jwfacts has an article that explains why the great crowd must be in heaven.

  i am also aware that many of these are the same arguments that stemmed from the 'awakenings at bethel' so my statements are not simply attacks of jwfact's character (since these arguments are probably not original) but rather his copy and paste of what others have said instead of verifying it as 'fact' for himself.. so here are jwfacts arguments:.

  1. he shows that russell and rutherford (at some point) believed that the great crowd were in heaven.. 2. each term that describes the great crowd of revelation 7 is else used to described the anointed by the wt.

  Rather be in hades, I believe both 607 and 1914 to be factual and scriptural dates.

  Be honest - did you independently come to those dates before being told by an extra-biblical source?

  Where did you first learn of those dates? From the bible?

  Think carefully - where did you actually learn that?
