Terribly Disappointed

it seems that people on this site enjoying ganging up on people, most recently myself, and yet are slow to apologize.

that certainly reminds me of another group of people.

any guesses what group i'm referring to???

Heybaby, I too felt that way, as you can see there are some people who have issues (ehem Farkel and Outlaw) judging from their posts above.

Some people are just not the sort that treat others in a nice way, maybe their mom beat them when they were little too many times.

Who knows? But they have no reason to be mean to others. Mean people suck as the saying goes. You bet they'll take note, I don't care.

You hang in there and do what's best for you. I appreciated your post and I agree whole heartedly.

you should have heard when people were singing one of the updated songs.. they've changed the third line's tune and words .. it was almost complete silence as people tried to figure out what on earth they were supposed to sing.. .

do other religions change lyrics of songs like that or is it only jws whose beliefs change and even the songs they sing need updating?.

No, I don't mind. Family is the reason, economics is the problem, or vice-versa.

these people just love instiling guilt on these poor souls.. .

at a recent circuit assembly a circuit overseer gave an awesome talk during the portion, 'giving attention to the needs of the circuit.

and with such a high pricetag, please don't let it be empty.

One DO had this thing for talking about skirt length and slit up to the thigh... He mentioned it every SAD and CA

and always used the words "coochie momma" and we sisters shouldn't be dressing like a "coochie momma"

because people in our territory might think we were "coochie mommas" coming to their doors. Trouble is after

all his "coochie momma" mentions and the explicit details of women's tight skirts that you could see panty lines

he had all sisters blushing and brothers "squirming" in their seats.

But about empty seats at the KH being bought with Christ's Blood I see absolutely no mention in the Bible

that Christ came on a mission to buy seats at any KH. Actually I thought Christ came to redeem humankind from

its sinful state, and to ransom them from death to life. Seems like the brother giving that talk was stretching his

illustration a bit much. If there are so many empty seats maybe it's because of the horrendous treatment of the

flock by the hired undershepherds who abuse and fleece them at the orders of a Book publishing corporation.

"a couple from russia, sold even their house in order to be able to attend an assembly in germany.....".

Hmmm... If the WTS is so spiritual why don't they publish an experience where they sold a building in order to help poor widows?

Or got rid of some redundant KH (now that they're combining congos like crazy) and used the proceeds to put a roof on some poor family's house?

Or maybe how they sold some of the old printing machines they have parked on the side, unused and buy tuition and school clothes for poor children in Africa?

Etc. Why? Because they are NOT "so spiritual". They expect sacrifice from everyone else for their benefit.

if you go to the meeting, you will get a copy.

she says she is going to just go and blag.

- even attend a few meetings if necessary.

Well, I've asked questions, I've let myself get weak in my personal study and I need some help

answering questions, I just have questions, and it seems wrong to question. Could you answer

some of my questions right here and now? (Use some of the questions from V's videos)

And record the whole thing, bring an iPod and record the whole thing.

Also practice with someone before hand. Practice your answers.

Did you find yourself disappointed in your life as a Jehovah's Witness?

No, not disappointed per se. But I do feel there's been good and bad in my life as a JW.

I'm disappointed in the people I thought would be more loving and Christian, but I found

that many JWs I knew when younger, as I grew up, I saw more and more of their flaws.

It's like along with the wrinkles of aging in their familiar faces I also saw the hypocrisy, the

mean spiritedness, the Lording it over others, the holier than thou attitudes... this was

truly disappointing. But then again there are people who I love dearly and I know deep

in my heart that they are victims in the truest sense of the word, but despite this fact

they try to do good for others no matter what. These people encouraged me and continue

to encourage me today.
