  JWs can become anointed at any time??

  someone in a previous thread stated this regarding the "new light" on the 1914 teaching:.

  people can still become anointed at any time.. .

  i'm curious (as usual).........how do these jws know they're anointed?

  Those who read the gospels by themselves and put their trust in Jesus as Savior

  can come to believe they are anointed by Spirit, born again (from above) as the

  scriptures say but they'll have to ignore the ranting WT admonishing everyone

  to hope for life in an Earthly paradise and not even think of going to heaven

  because they aren't humble enough like their Governing Body is supposed to be.

  this is the watchtower media dept.

  in 12 years, after they lose their minds and start killing their members.. then splinter sects will form, based on the degree of corporate punishment each sect believes in.. some will still kill their errant children.. others will believe in spanking and forcing all meeting attendance,.

  and finally, there will be those, prodded by the holy spirit, who renounce all physical contact with other people, preferring punishment by various eye signals.

  C'mon Randy, I like the Restore Church of God, and I love David C. Pack, don't agree with him, but love to listen to him. Don't ask me why ... LOL

  You are scaring me RR.

  You can't really be serious about this guy,

  he sounds so desperate.

  If you read about Armstrong, online

  he sounds like a real perv. sometimes.

  I think he got some inspiration from WT

  and Awakes! he'd read while in his jet

  trips around the globe to make himself

  look & feel important.

  Now this guy Pack seems to idolize him

  as a "prophet". Pack knows where the

  "profit" really is, all that tithing and stuff.

  how much $$$ does the society make???

  my husband and i were talking about this tonight...how much do they make in a given year on donations??

  and where does it all go?.

  any thoughts?

  Ballparking and half-informed guessing, I would say...

  Typical congregation of 70 x 100,000 congregations = 7,000,000

  so far so good... there's that many Witnesses in the world now...

  typical congregation of 70 x $20 monthly contribution = $1,400

  which is about what they are in my congregation.

  Now 100,000 congregations x $1,400 p.mo. = $140,000,000 p.mo.

  as possible income... take away thousands from Third World

  countries that can't contribute that much, and add thousands

  from a lot of the older ones who have left homes, inheritance

  moneys, life insurance policies, etc. to the Watchtower... more

  than would make up or at least balance out for 3rd World countries

  I think.

  So $140,000,000 p.mo. x 12 months = $1,680,000,000 p.yr.

  Even half of that would be astronomical, wouldn't it?

  A fourth of it even, it's a lot of money!

  i'm pretty sure this is based on one of my older theories regarding satan being the true god and jehovah being the devil and writing the bible from his perspective in order to stop people from worshipping the true god satan.

  Mexico and authorities

  has anyone contacted mexican authorities to find out an explanaition as to why wts was permited to exist for some 50 years under a cultral banner instead of a religious one?

  also, another good question to them should be that of their "identidy cartilla for military service"!

  how can jws hold this document if they teach against military service and yet are at the same time holding these documents?

  How I figured JWs were NOT the truth...

  i remember thinking growing up that i wasn't sure it was the true religion but because my family were so sure of themselves and so many people believed it that i loved and respected it had to of been the truth.. then, i reasoned that because we were the only ones who fulfilled the preaching work that there was no other way any other religion could be the true religion except us.

  plus, we used jehovah's name and didn't take it out of the bible but the preaching work was really the main thing that kept me in.... i was always afraid to really study just the bible because i knew a ton of things might not be right.

  otherwise, why would so many jws be afraid to run into a greek scholar out in field service.

  Reniaa you sound more like a Berean Bible Student than a JW.

  They are honest to goodness Bible Students as in the ones

  before Judge Rutherford changed the name.

  It's Arians not Aryans btw (Aryan is the non-politically correct term

  white supremacists use but Arian is based on belief of Arius teachings

  on the divinity of Jesus and his relation to the Father).

  For me the exit is still ongoing... I can't separate myself from my

  family, yet anyway... It is very emotionally depressing just to think

  I would be shunned and not associated with by those I love. But I

  don't blame them... I blame the WT and their controlling ideas. I am

  a Christian and I believe in Jesus as the Messiah, but by his grace

  I'm closer to him and his Father than I ever was as a mentally

  controlled JW. I can truly love God as one of his children bought

  by the precious blood of His Son. That's where I am spiritually as

  of now and right at this moment I wouldn't consider walking away

  from my family even if they would not approve of my personal views.

  At least I'm mentally free. That is good for now, although I have a

  strong feeling that I cannot remain this way and be a sane and

  well-functioning human being. I long to be free physically as

  well as mentally and spiritually from the clutch of the WT.

  A lot of JWs are bigtime trekkers, and

  others know every single line in Star Wars

  movies. But some are disgusted with aliens

  and the idea of UFOs to them sounds like

  demonic propaganda (like my Mother says).

  being put together right now and promises

  and has been assigned a desk in the "service dept.

  It's pretty disgusting that JWs get counseled not

  to be so materialistic. But then DOs and well connected

  COs walk around with latest notebook laptops and even

  the expensive little reader Amazon Kindle now!

  It would be awsome if some of the higherups in Spain

  would spill their guts on what's been going on behind

  the scenes in the Spanish Branch fiasco, wouldn't it?
