  just saw this pop up at the fuentes' forum extjforum.com.

  it's a scan (you can thank iloowy for the scan) of the march 15, 2010 watchtower where there's a picture of a radiant sun of a wt logo along with a tm mark right next to a paragraph that says 'they "will shine as brightly as the sun"' (matthew 13:43).. .

  A previous article in this same WT is entitled:

  "Remaining in God’s Favor Despite Changes"

  It deals with the need to be meek and not

  let changes deviate you from remaining

  approved by God. In other words, if you

  don't like the fact that we went back and

  forth about when the Harvest time is then

  don't let it get to you or you're OUT. Either

  be meek or we'll make you meek. Now be

  a good dubby and shut up about complaints.

  The graphic doesn't even fit in with all the other illustrations in the article.

  It seems oddly out of place and too abstract.

  Do you think they'll change it in the printed copies to go out in a couple of months

  because of all the discussion and the outcry here about it?

  Could it be that it was a mistake? Is there some other graphic

  that they should have used and this is just a place holder?

  We've never gotten articles on pdf before so maybe this is

  a freak accident and they should have used a different graphic

  but it wasn't available by release time? Naaaaaa.... the WTS

  is too controlling and too rigid to allow any mistakes like that.

  Thanks for noticing the changes, cameo-d, interesting.

  What really floors me is the TM to the right of the logo.

  And then to associate this with the Matthew 13:43 verse.

  It is so brazen and self-assuming, isn't it? Or is it just me,

  because they seem to attribute all the glory to the WTS.

  The book,In Search of Christian Freedom

  i have been reading the book in search of christian freedom by r franz.i just finished the chapter on the house to house ministry....unbelieveble.

  he shows a totally different way of explaining the scriptures.i never realized how much the gb slants every thing to it's teachings.they need the nwt to do this.if you haven't read this book,you really should.what i'm wondering if you have read it,what stands out for you.....

  It's just another tactic to make people feel like they're wrong for not following WT directions. If you're a qualified brother but aren't helping out then the WTS says "shame on you". But they don't really want biblically qualified brothers to teach the Bible to people. They want Organization men to teach the WTS rules and regulations to the followers.

  Can a witness avoid ever being disfellowshipped or reproved?

  people, a simple question this time.

  since the society has such a complex set of rules, how likely is the average witness to be disfellowshipped?

  this proven in the fact that many posters on here are active and living a lie to everyone.

  I don't see that I'm living a lie to anyone. My life is what it is. As much as I would like to do some things differently I'm having to make choices, one of the choices is not to lose family and friends I have now. If the WTS didn't have the stupid shunning policy non of my family or friends would shun me if I left would they?

  So I do what I feel I have to. If that's leading a double life to you well maybe it is. But my life isn't a lie to me, "it is what it is", (a phrase I say mocking someone in oversight who was very fond of saying it all the time, ex. "Field Service isn't hard, it is what it is," yeah right).
