The love in many congregations is always reserved for the new person who starts attending. After that, the real uncaring attitude shows through and through on the part of most Witnesses.
There are so many unhappy people in the congregations--over-burdened and over-stressed--many don't even like themselves for who they are and what a nervous wreck their life has become from being in slavery to the WT, how can they like or love others?

just one thing that is not quite right is that the article refers to joe bello as a narrogin elder.
the assualts took place while the victim was part of the narrogin congregation.
Great article to share. I posted the link on facebook. Within minutes my total facebook friends amount kept going down, I also got several messages asking if I was really a Jehovah's Witness.
I'm sure some will read it if they can do so secretly without other Witnesses finding out about them reading 'apostate' literature. Anything negative of the WT is 'apostate' to them.
i have been mulling over the options that the wt has to take in regard to child abuse.
in my mind there are the following ones:.
1. overhaul their entire system, and apologize to all abuse victims.
They will outwardly comply with whatever they're required to, and internally the COs will come around directing how its really to be done.
It reminds me of the Bulgarian blood transfusion agreement, that was kept under wraps. I think they'll try to pull something similar.

- assuming most birthdays, if allowed, would probably be oriented to children, then that means 40 celebrations per year.
so all in all, this give a total potential attendance to a birthday of 30 families (120 attendance / 4 family members).
this is not the first time i've written about this, but with the royal commission happening here in australia, and having fought against the wts on this problem of molestation in the wts over a period of 15 years i feel a need to explain what i found which contradicts what the wts says and the way they handle cases within their society.. i am not going to give the history of my involvement but just state simply why no-one can believe what the wts says ,and we all know the scriptures they use to not handle cases of molestation properly , so here goes , it's not tricky or hard to understand i think, but just use the bible against them (hope this is used at the commission).. i,m using the revised berkely version in plain english here ,.
the context is law giving in the book of deuteronomy ch 22 : vs 22 - 27. vs 22 "when a man is surprised abed with a married woman,they shall both die ,the man who lay with the woman and the woman too; you shall wipe out the evil from israel.".
so this is easy to grasp ,man sleeps with married woman ,judged to die -they got caught.. next vs 23- 24 "when a man comes upon a girl in the city, who is a virgin betrothed to another , and he lies with her,24 you shall bring them both to the gate of the city and stone them to death, the girl because she did not cry out, although the city was all about her, and the man because he violated his neighbour's wife.
But if the girl isn't 'betrothed' and she's just a child like in many abuse cases then field or no field today we know this is just abuse of another human being especially those who cannot defend themselves adequately.
Vs28-29 This shows that if the girl is not betrothed but is forced into sex she has to marry him and pay her father 50 silver coins (crazy huh?)
Crazy, definitely. What I can't fathom is how a girl of marriageable age would be expected to marry her rapist?
a catholic forum has a discussion thread: "jehovah witness now appear with the royal commission".. i have made the comment before that dr. applewhite's appearance in support of the jws is not surprising if you consider that the royal commissions' findings will impact the structure of the cathoilc church as well.
the catholic church has a vested interest in the jws' hearing - if the jws are forced to change their organizational structure, so will the catholics.. the following post is an excellent discussion on the similarities and differences between the catholic church and the jws structure.

It's very uncanny how both religions are so similary structured. Doesn't the Jesuit Order actually use the name Governing Body in their organization?
If the latest rant from the GB against Protestants is any indication I think the Jehovah's Witnesses are warming up to the Catholics. After all they're both very patriarchal and very centrally controlled, Overseers are Bishops, Elders are like priests and Ministerial Servants like deacons. I guess that makes the GB a bunch of cardinals or Popes.

i would say that if god or jehovah or any other named or nameless god needs money then he/she/it is not much of a god.
as a poor jw pioneer i scraped by as a way of life serving a god i could not know, see or sense in any way but i swallowed the biblical dogma and recalled that the birds of the air neither toiled nor sowed but were provided for.. so for goodness sake...why is the jw org so concerned with keeping, promoting or downright snatching as much money as they can from the sheep?.
is it a sign that jehovah has disinherited them?
