i consider myself a christian.

seriously did not even think that jw was that much different...but now i know better and it has my mind spinning.

i have stopped answering questions, say my own prayers to god at the meetings, and plastr on a fake smile.

Do not go after them. --> is that a recommendation in regard to a matter of conscience or is it an outtright commandment from Jesus Christ himself?

Your husband may object by saying that they do not claim to come on the basis of Jesus Christs name.

i've commented on several posts before and enjoy the feedback on this site above them all.

i was researching some things and this question came to mind.

Luke 12:49-53

　"I came to start a fire on the earth, and what more is there for me to wish if it has already been lighted? 50 　Indeed, I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and how I am being distressed until it is finished! 51 　Do YOU imagine I came to give peace on the earth? No, indeed, I tell YOU, but rather division. 52 　For from now on there will be five in one house divided, three against two and two against three. 53 　They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against [her] mother, mother-in-law against [her] daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against [her] mother-in-law."

Can you think of any other world wide stituation beyond the Jehovah's Witnesses where a very prolific number of once wholesome family units are being divided in such a manner as Jesus Christ describes above?

Just read many of the posts on this forum and also on others (in all languages!) which describe these family situations, for the abundant amount of evidence.

It's a pandemic unique to Jehovah's Witnesses!

The immense image in Daniel represents all of the "Kingdoms" that God himself has set up.

About 2000 years ago God set up a kingdom called Christianity.

It has been ruined!

The next and last kingdom that God sets up will crush all these other kingdoms.

Yep, I think the toes of iron and clay are the JW's.

The divisions are occuring over Jesus Christs baptism due to the re-inventing of it by the Governing Body so they could include a vow which venerates themselves.

Consider this:

　Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: "YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame."

There is no other world wide religion who I know could be fulfillling this prophecy other than the Jehovah's Witnesses!

After my escape from the WT I became unable to discuss prophesy.

After my escape I discussed it incessantly.

Something I really couldn't do while still a JW!

I no longer have to parrot something written in a magazine.

It's great!

And what's even funny is if a young one did prophecy as a jw they would be df'd for it.

Which in turn would fulfill an end time prophecy!

You have to face the facts that Jesus is king and that you will not die before the fulfillment of bible prophecies. Jesus is just waiting another 2,000 years......:(

Looks to me like most believers just want to give themselves permission to keep sleeping.

All the really cool stuff that Jesus Christ said would happen will just continue to elude them.

On the other hand I am very happy that I finally woke up!

Revelation 16:15-16

　"Look! I am coming as a thief. Happy is the one that stays awake and keeps his outer garments, that he may not walk naked and people look upon his shamefulness." And they gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har–Ma·ged´on.
