i remember many years ago we would talk about those who leave the org.
something bad will happen to them.
because god was mad at them for turning away from the wt.
That's so funny because the only reason we may have problems after we leave is because of them, not because we left. It takes a while to get the cult out of you and in this process sure we may have problems.
Once you're finally free from their thinking it's all up hill, things get better and better...the real life begins:)

jehovahs witnesses two-witness rule is applied by elders when a witness member accuses another member of a sin, even if that sin is a criminal act.
if there arent two witnesses to the accusation, it goes nowhere, including not being reported to the authorities.
and in the case of an allegation of child abuse, the accused is free to molest again.. watchtower attorney, jim mccabe, recently stated this about jehovahs witnesses two-witness rule which he described as a bible-based belief :.
Not only should parents go to police first, the org should make that very clear in their written publications. As things sit right now, more parents will go to the elders first because this is what they are taught. Sad, but true.

that was a statement from my dyed-in-the-wool jw pioneer mother in trying to analyze why i faded and left the jws.
my answer was to say: "if i have to make something real to me, chances are it wasn't real to begin with.
" .
Yup. I got the same thing from my mother when I told her I would never go back to the JW's.
