So happy for you!! Please tell your wife that many of us just can't see past the complete willful inaction of the WTS when it comes to protecting the most innocent. She will find herself in good company here on this forum. -

I think people deal with abuse in the way they deal with it. Some can talk in detail about what happened without negative consequences and others can't.
I know my daughter wasn't given a choice when it came to talking in detail to the police and lawyers. It was needed for a conviction.
But a news reporter?? Nope, they don't need the horrible details to do a story, they just need to know she was molested period.
I thought Candace did a great job.

Told my JW mother about the report on Nightline!
by truthseekeriam ineven though we have agreed to not speak religion, i thought this was something she would want to see, especially because she knows the struggles we have been through because of what happened to our daughter.
after watching it she actually agreed things need to change in their policy's and that the congregation should be warned.. she also said kendrick and his wife made fools of themselves.. i have a feeling more witnesses then not would agree with her....however, how they feel and what they do about it is two very different things.
they are completely powerless in their religion!

It takes all of us wicked apostates to force the hands of their leaders through criminal trials and civil lawsuits. They should be thanking Candace Conti instead of vilifying her.

ATTENTION: Angela Montgomery, the JW "Mommy Molester" found guilty this Friday afternoon of 6 counts of child rape
by AndersonsInfo inandrea montgomery was found guilty as charged on each of the 6 charges of child rape of her biological son, alan von webb, the oldest boy of four children.
today, many media people were there in the courtroom for the first time since the trial started.. the verdict came in about 3:30 p.m. which took time for the judge to read, etc., so i learned about it at 4 p.m. when the father of the four children, now young adults, called us.
one of the children has down's syndrome, and it's difficult to imagine, but he also was raped since a child by his mother.

What a touching photo.
I personally know that horrible feeling while waiting to hear the jury's verdict.
I'm so happy for Von Webb family, I hope this is the beginning to a very happy future for them all.

Those young adults are very brave, I'm sure it was very difficult to have to talk about everything in detail. I hope she gets a very long sentence.
Thank you for the update Barbara.

I'm glad she was convicted! I'm kinda surprised the names
of the victims were mentioned in the article, I thought they were protected?

Wow!! That was some great coverage! I loved how they confronted Kendrick with his wife looking like she just got home from service. I can't believe she said " he did his time for that crime" referring to the fact he molested her granddaughter! What a weak sad women defending her piece of garbage husband!
Candace did such an amazing job with this report, she truly is making a huge impact with getting this out to the media. Thank you Candace you are paving the way for hopefully many more survivors to do the same.

What at a piece of crap this Kendrick creep is!! So, if you're to believe him, he molested before Candace and then after her....but never her?? Yeah right! Then he goes on to brag that he's a member in good standing.
"Kendrick was absent from Conti’s trial and denied “Nightline’s” repeated requests for an interview. In a brief interview with “Nightline” outside of his home in California, Kendrick said, “My statement is this. I've never been alone with Ms. Conti, never molested Candace Conti.”
He denied he ever did field service with Conti alone, and repeatedly denied molesting her or ever being alone with her.
“I'm sure that's the smart thing for him to say,” Conti told “Nightline.” “That hurts like hell. But ... do you expect honesty from a child molester?”
Conti is moving on with her life. She graduated from college and recently got engaged. But she said she will continue fighting on behalf of all victims of child abuse.
“I don’t have a monopoly on pain,” she said. “Instead of being victims we can change it, and have our words speak for change. Then this pain might be a little bit worth it.”
Since Conti’s verdict in 2012, the church appears to have made some changes on its confidentiality policy when it comes to child abuse, but critics, including Conti, say it’s not enough.
As for Jonathan Kendrick, he says he is still a member in good standing of the Jehovah’s Witnesses."
