What a bunch of BS! It makes me so angry that even when their backs are against the wall and they feel they have no choice but to speak about the elephant in the room they still don't do the right thing.

What they have personally done to my family by their stupid policies are inexcusable! The way they question young victims is inexcusable! The way they treat you after you go to authorities for justice is inexcusable!

Let's not mention that stupid cartoon where a huge monster is the bad guy...seriously people??? how about showing the real dangers, you know the brothers and sisters they spend most their lives with! I have no hope they will ever fix what's so obviously wrong within their org. Instead they will do as little as possible and call themselves on top of the issue💩💩💩

22 june, 2015 the royal commission will hold a public hearing in sydney commencing on 27 july 2015 at 10:00am.. the scope and purpose of the public hearing is to inquire into:.

1. the experience of survivors of child sexual abuse within the jehovahs witnesses church in australia.. 2. the responses of the jehovahs witnesses church and the watchtower bible and tract society of australia ltd to allegations, reports or complaints of child sexual abuse within the church.. 3. the systems, policies and procedures in place within the jehovahs witnesses church and the watchtower bible and tract society of australia ltd for raising and responding to allegations of or concerns about child sexual abuse within the church.. 4. the systems, policies and procedures in place within the jehovahs witnesses church and the watchtower bible and tract society of australia ltd to prevent child sexual abuse within the church.. 5. any related matters.

It's refreshing to be treated with such care and respect isn't it possum? My daughter and I had the same experience with the prosecutor and victim advocate that handled the case we were involved in. It's complete opposite of how the elders that supposedly loved us treated us...so much for worldly people being evil.

I'm happy you are able to bravely speak up :)

Let's hope this gets some major exposure. It's time for the GB to be worried, I truly believe they know their days of hiding behind religious freedoms when it comes to these crimes are numbered. At least I hope they are!!

Has there been new counsel about Facebook recently?

i've noticed increasing amounts of jw's are coming off fb and deactivating completely.

all with the same reason which they post about at lenght which is that they wwant to focus more on their spiritual life and not have the distraction of fb.. have i missed something or is this just a coincidence?.

My mom has made her Facebook announcement she was leaving Facebook many times before, usually right after it's mentioned at meeting or convention. It lasts maybe a month, then she's back on :)

Zelkin Law Firm was the Jose Lopez case as well as others still happening now. Simmons was Candace's lawyer.

I for one think Candace did exactly what she stated she wanted. Because of her lawsuit it is now written as precedence that the Watchtower is indeed responsible for letting a known molester access to a child while out on service and they were responsible for it.

She did her part, now it's time for these other cases to go through the process with hopefully yet more changes to the screwed up policies of the WTS when it come to child molesters.

It's a marathon, not a race!

Looks like it's finally over for Candace!! I hope she knows how many of us are extremely grateful for her long fight. I hope she takes her money and lives a very happy life:)

Compensation after 30 years

i have waited for so long to see some sort of justice given to my daughters.

Anti-JW billboard going up in Texas

the first ever billboard has been crowd funded on reddit and will be going up.

i'm curious to know if it will cause a spark in any jw's who already have questions or doubts and lead them to research into the child abuse cases and lead them to the thought that the wt and gb are not inspired or gods mouthpiece.

at the very least it will provide people a topic of conversation and questions to the jw's who knock on their door: "so whats this whole sex abuse in kingdom halls thing about i saw on the billboard down the road?
