Are you angry for having been a JW?

i remember seeing the ex-jws parading around outside the assembly like lepers holding placards of hate.

we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.

just dont look at them was the standard response to their unwelcome presence..

I struggle with this question because while I'm extremely angry for what happened to us as JW's and how it has basically ruined my daughters childhood and destroyed our relationships with practically everyone we knew. I also have good memories and a wonderful husband who I never would have met if I was never a JW.

Just two weeks in our new home and the knock at the door happens!!

just relaxing with my morning coffee enjoying looking at the pictures fipper shared of the camping trip when the dreaded knock came.

of course the dogs beat me to the door followed by my daughter trying to catch them, she looks through the giant peep hole and waves me away saying "its them.

" i almost just walked away from the door when i saw the sweet face of a 5/6 year old little boy with his mom and dad and couldn't resist talking to them.. i opened the door and smiled and said jehovah's witnesses?

After talking with my husband this evening I literally can't wait for them to try and scare me at my home again! These idiots have no idea what they're in for if they continue to try and disrupt my peace! I have a excellent lawyer who would just love to get involved if necessary.

I'm almost positive they are on a witch hunt that will lead to disfellowshipping if I don't disassociate first. It's something I have tried to avoid because of family but that really hasn't helped anyways, I might as well be disfellowshipped!

I plan on going all out for every holiday this year, no more hiding...I'm done!!

Have I mentioned how much I hate this religion today??

Well, it looks like my chat with that couple put us back on their radar unfortunately!

On Sunday we got a knock on the door and sure enough 2 elder looking men stood on my porch. I thought about opening the door but then remembered why it would be a waste of time. So I yelled through the the door "I'm not interested" I could see through the large peep hole they looked quite annoyed, it kinda made me chuckle. One looked at the other with his hand on his hip while the other one was like oh well motioning to let's go. The first one looked like he wanted to stand there, as if I would open the door under pressure....ha ha! They don't know who they are messing with, I have absolutely no fear of these men! I took my power back long ago:)

So today I'm upstairs scrubbing my glass shower doors and hear a slight knock at the door, I ignore it because I'm really determined to get this soap scum off the glass. After all done I walk downstairs and my son hands me a envelope that was left at the door. Inside was a very heartfelt (cough) okay as heartfelt as a mind controlled cult member can be letter. It was from the sister who I talked with. She said she hasn't been able to get me off her mind (I'm glad) then went on and on about this scripture and this chapter... How much she misses me( doesn't know me) and how much she wants me to come back to Jehovah. I'm sure she meant well but for one I asked them not to go to the elders, which they did! Now she wants me to text her?? Yeah right! I'm sure the elders would like me number.

Crazy!!

Those poor families, I know the complete devastation and confusion they are going through right now.

I'm happy the authorities have the case so they will at least be offered support from those who know what they are doing.

just have to vent as this has been commented on before.

some of you know about my son's condition and how he almost died had it not been for the transfusion he received.. my wife took him to the children's hospital for routine labs and pain in his leg.

on the way in she saw a jw cart right outside the outpatient exit.

I feel just as fustrated when I see those carts!

My daughter started community college this semester and of course the first thing we see walking up to the office is the cart!! Like she needs this reminder, while trying to fight through all her anxieties...really ticks me off.
