  i'm not an expert but that is my understanding of this: .

  opinion filed.. (signed published) the judgment against defendants on the negligence count is affirmed.

  the judgment against watchtower on the cause of action for punitive damages is reversed with directions to enter judgment for watchtower on punitive damages.

  Kendrick " Letter of Introduction " from Elders regarding Candace Conti Case

  as many of us saw in the pbs news hour program and the abc news nightline program the elders from one congregation failed to communicate properly to the elders in another congregation concerning the child molester jonathan kendrick when he moved to a new congregation.

  i have parts of this " introduction letter " from the fremont congregation to the oakley congregation elders so you can read it for yourself and decide how irresponsible these wt appointed elders were.

  all of us are upset in different ways, some of us are ferociously angry because, let's face it, it's our fault!

  i had many clues they were lying about our religion but i failed to see through them because of the pain of admitting we got conned and family pressure from peers stopped me from making a courageous choice.

  when i read about people who confronted the elders and won their judicial committees (even though the jw elders df'ed them) my heart goes out to their courage, their amazingly stronger than i will ever be.

  i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.

  she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

  Maybe it's not reaching as many JW's as we would like but it is reaching the news and the newspapers and as a result many will think twice about opening up their doors to witnesses.

  It also helps those who may be on the fence about reaching out to authorities or a lawyer more of a push knowing they will be listened to.

  You would be surprised by what they get away with! Your right it doesn't make sense at all.

  We went trough the same thing....molester was convicted of molesting multiple victims and guess what? Yup. He went to prison still a JW.

  I would make calls to the elders asking why and would get nothing but excuses that made absolutely no sense. Two year passed before we finally heard he was disfellowshipped and not one of the elders called us to let us know...we heard it through the grapevine.

  Maybe they are getting the instructions to get up and walk away whenever anyone approaches them with the news on child abuse??

  i learned this past week that my wife is now awake.

  i just shared the pbs newshour segment with her with no comment other than something along the lines of, "jw story on pbs.".

  she is furious at the arrogance of these men.. thats what happens when you get a momma angry!.

  So happy for you!! Please tell your wife that many of us just can't see past the complete willful inaction of the WTS when it comes to protecting the most innocent. She will find herself in good company here on this forum.
