  i haven't seen reference to this article on the forum, so would like to post a link to an article that was published by the atlantic on 22 march 2019.. .

  only factual matter that i could correct is the number of gb members at the time of the australian royal commission - i'm pretty sure it was 7 at that time..

  Since You Left The Organization Do You Celebrate National and Religious Holidays?

  i know of people who were disciplined because they observed the fourth of july fireworks celebration.

  and i know many people who celebrated thanksgiving but just didn’t call it that because they could get into trouble with the elders.. do you now celebrate birthdays and other holidays or is that something you really don’t care about?

  We do!

  It's not as exciting or experienced as our neighbors... but we do try to get involved.

  Sparklers for the 4th, a little cake for a birthday and a tree with lights for Christmas. It still doesn't feel as normal as I would like but it's getting there.

  I just hope by the time my grandchildren come along we will be having the most fun celebrations :)

  thanks to the australian royal commission our youngest son has woke up.

  we received a e-mail from him tonight where he apologized to us for shunning us all these years, how bad he felt for doing this.

  Watchtower Loses an Appeal

  it has zealously advocated its position and lost multiple times.

  yet, it cavalierly refuses to acknowledge the consequences of these losses and the validity of the court's orders requiring it to produce documents in response to request number 12. and, in a further act of defiance, watchtower informed the court that it would not comply with the march 25, 2016 order 39 requiring it to produce documents responsive to request number 12. the court, following lopez, supra, 246 cal.app.4th 566, as an incremental step toward terminating sanctions if watchtower persists in its unjustified conduct, imposed monetary sanctions.

  Update on the $4000 day fine - Padron v Watchtower

  both sides presented their arguments and now the judges will write an opinion (30 to 90 days).

  she actually won an emmy for this show.

  rumor is that she might take on jehovah's witnesses in season 3. .

  i keep reading that there were 6 child abuse lawsuits that settled for 13 million dollars.

  how do people like barbara anderson or jwsurvey or jwfacts come up with this number?

  Why does the amount matter to you?

  The fact they have to pay anything at all proves their wrongdoing and failures to the victims.

  This is a victory and something they would have never got had they not fought for it
