ABCNews Nightline: Segment on JW absuse cases here......
by WingCommander inhere is the segment on the conti abuse case in california and jehovah's witness's response as reported on by the abcnews nightline broadcast which was shown early this morning.
it really displays some absolutely shocking behavior from not only her abuser and his (supportive) wife, but also the jw attorneys and elders via video.
i am just blown away by the audacity displayed by these monsters.. we can now understand why governing body member stephen lett slipped in his comments a couple of weeks ago about "untrue reports of child abuse" in one of his talks which can viewed on the cult's website.

What a fantastic young woman - she is the Watchtowers worst nightmare - articulate, well presented and obviously sincere. I wish I had the courage this young woman has.
What a brilliant report - worthy of the BBC at it's best - remember "Panorama" of about 10 years ago? That is a compliment from a Brit I assure you.
They exposed Kendrick. And his stupid screeching wife "he paid for that crime!" - just confirmed what he is. And the elder submitting to the investigation who admitted he knew.
I hope the floodgates open.
How can you Americans get this on prime time? How can we get it on our side of the pond? Just brilliant.
Thank you Candace Conti.

Handful of elders and servants in our circuit with beards/goatees. A couple of them give away talks too. As mentioned it's a no go on any assembly platform. Talking about the U.K. here. -

I was shy on my first JW.ORG Video, I am so happy sharing God's Organization with you!
by JWCart1975 injw.org is the fastest growing media outlet in the world, our local cobe said we are going to take the media from satan's wicked world!
repent before it's too late and come back to the kingdom hall with all your loving brothers and sisters!
you won't find happiness without jehovah's organization and you know it!

Hello jwcart1975.
Can your little wheels keep up with the ones on the organizational chariot? With all the changes in direction you'd be better off with castors.

Mom says, "CO says there's only 15 years left!"
by Separation of Powers ini don't typically hear from my mom often, but i tell you, over the past couple of weeks, i have heard from her several times.
you heard the comment about "our way of worship will be altered" and thank you for your posts by the way....but yesterday, she calls and is asking about the kids and then, in typical jw fashion mind you, says:.
"you know, you should really get back to meetings.

@Village Idiot
I remember the Adam and Eve "gap" - if I recall correctly it really was heard about in '76 and '77 and was used to explain away failed expectations of 1975 - before jw's all went completely over to "the generation that saw 1914" and so 1984 and then 1994 were the back stop years - but not explicitly stated.

How do Americans feel about Canadians and Britons interjecting their opinions onto hot localized political topics: gun laws, abortion, ect?
by adjusted knowledge inin addition to the above question, why do citizens of the two above mentioned countries, or other countries, feel the necessity to tell americans how they should interpret the american constitution for localized issues?.
i fairly much have an idea what the general population in the usa feels in regards to the first question.
this could be one of the possible reasons cnn piers morgan poor ratings and eventual firing.

I'm British and "soccer" (just called "football" here) is just a yawnfest to me. Mind you I am out of step with the majority of bladder-kicking Englishmen ...

It's not surprising - when Americans get bitter they cling to guns or religion or anti immigration sentiment or anti trade sentiment or antipathy to people who aren't like them as a way to justify their frustrations about themselves.
Brits are the same when they get bitter but they don't have any guns or so much religion to cling to - which is probably a good thing.

I do hope that 2014 is the high water mark. You know with all the hoopla about the 100th
BirthdayAnniversary celebrations and now all fading away to a new year and no armageddy.A high peak in August 2014 coinciding with the international conventions and a final twitch of enthusiasm before more samey old meetings.
A high memorial peak as this "may be the last one ever" subliminal message.
More money grabbing.
A guy can dream eh?
