@Mark Zyche
I guess your not getting any, huh?
so as many know....ive been df'd goin on 19 years already.
i drive pops to meetings, and drop him off on saturdays for fs.. well yesterday, the elders ask to speak to me, and tell me that if i plan on returning to jehovah, i had better shave my beard off..
omg!!!!!!

when i was a teenager, i was told by an elder that because i smiled a lot and was known for my good sense of humor, that i should come across as "more serious".
so before i was appointed a ms, while in my late teens, i transformed myself into a much more "serious" brother.. were you ever told that you needed to work on something that you knew was stoopid?.
As a teenager I had a tiny little 1100cc old banger of a car. (Anyone remember the Austin 1100 like the one Basil Fawlty/John Cleese gives a "damned good thrashing" in Fawlty Towers?)
I was quite happy to pick up people for meetings and take them in the ministry. But I also had a Honda 750cc motorbike which if I had no-one to pick up for the meeting on a warm summer's day I would ride to the hall and this really irritated my group overseer.
He would often make snide remarks about bikers being rebellious and danger-seeking. The elders even announced that those with motorbikes (that was directed only at me) needed to park at the bottom of the car park so that we didn't take up a car space. Trouble was the bottom of the car park was soft ground and the bike's side stand would dig in and make the bike unstable so I disobeyed.
However we had a circuit overseer who was working with me and he confided that he had a Honda CX500 tourer and he loved bikes and his advice was to "respectfully ignore" this particular brother. His bike was parked at the circuit flat next to a Kingdom hall shared by 3 congregations.
Word soon got around and the next time this brother had a go at me I just asked him if he would be counselling the CO about his motorbike? Silence and a red face was the response.
this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.
the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.
i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.
I believe Mark 9 v 38 - 42 gives a christian much latitude.
I know jw's say "ah but that was before there was an organisation chosen by God to associate with ..."
"Well, duh brainbox - Jesus and his Apostles were walking the earth and if it was ok not to tag along with them, well ... I'll take my chances"
i feel it is comfortable to say,.
yes her arc hearing has come and gone.. yes her hearing was so powerful, her allotted time was tripled!.
yes, information handed over "mind blowing" response from arc.
@makemean ...
The ARC - it is making a difference in the JW world.
It is being spoken about "behind the hands" of many elders. They are just too frightened of being sanctioned - kicked out of higher positions or df'd if they say what is perturbing them. In my neck of the woods there are more and more resigning, sitting back and letting others take the strain. This may only be a straw on the camel's back but it is one of the heavier straws.
The slowing down, the apathy, the reduced efforts, the lower meeting attendance - especially in the English speaking western world - I believe are directly attributable - at least in part - to this commission and the brave souls who have told them their stories.
many years ago, my husband and i appeared on the board that was known as h20 aka simon's site.
it has been a while since we have posted anything, so i guess i can say that this is like coming out of retirement.
lol.
Give us more!
We need coherent well presented people like you to help people to see the real truth about "the truth".
Freddo in the UK.
my best friend has recently been "marked" for associating with a "worldly guy" what advice can you give me to pass onto her?
i am not a jw, never been one, so looking for guidance.
thank you in advance.

@mightyV8
I have been following umbertoecho's story. From her posts it is obvious she is fully committed - at great personal emotional cost - to bringing her experience to the ARC.
Please may I encourage anyone on this forum - including lurkers and whether in or out of jehovah's witnesses - and at whatever level - to help expose the weaknesses in the jw system towards protecting children.
Protecting image must not come before protecting children.
Thanks for the update!
Now we need someone in the UK ...
i heard from the semi reliable source that the pioneer schools will go the way of the dodo bird next year.. i could see this happening.
it used to be that you went to the the pioneer school once.
then they allowed dubs to go every 5 years.
NEW PIONEER MINISTRY TRAINING METHODS 2017 Service Year
Dear Brothers,
How the Pioneer Schools have trained a worldwide brotherhood! How thrilled we are at the vast increases. During WW2 blah blah, court victories drone drone, spearheading the work yawn yawn Jehovah's chariotlike organisation snore snore. Zzzzzzzzz.
Anyhow we're kicking the schools into touch to save dollars for the child abuse cases ... errr ... free up the CO's to keep you lot in line ... errr ... to keep up with jaydubyoo/dot/orgasm.
Instead, at the regular pioneer meeting with the CO (including aux pio 30hour wannabe's and cute pre-teens dragged along by mummy that can smile winningly next to trolleys and at householders) the following 15 minute program will be included.
MODULE ONE (5 minutes)
1. Switching on your "device".
2. Showing the "Lions in Paradise" video. (Or if the CO feels suitable for your area "Sofia's Ice Cream Money")
3. Say that next time you'll show the "Jesus loves you but his Dad needs cash." video.
4. Write down on your electronic device (S-8's are old hat) the highlights of your call such as:
Is the person rich/daft/gullible? If so then call back promptly arranging a day and time.
You have now arranged a return visit!
COFFEE BREAK
MODULE TWO - THE RETURN VISIT (5 Minutes)
5. AT THE RETURN VISIT
Is he in? If so count a return visit.
Is he out/hiding/ignoring you? Put the smallest piece of literature in his mailbox and count a return visit.
He's in! Is he sighing and crying over all the terrible things taking place in the inhabited earth? Show him a video about a video about a bible study and count a Bible study.
Does he think you are a mad cultist? Politely leave BUT COUNT THAT BIBLE STUDY!
COFFEE BREAK
MODULE THREE (5 minutes)
Ascertaining the spirituality of the person.
1. Is he rich and free with his donations? If so develop a magazine route.
2. Does he watch jayduborg listening appreciatively/respectfully? Continue the study.
3. Switching off your device.
4. Boasting about your success ... err ... encouraging others at the Kingdom Hall.
AT THE NEXT CO VISIT
Obeying the Faithful and Discreet Slave?
Can you baptise them in their own bathtub?
Explaining they are not of the anointed!!!
...
So instead of tying up an expensive CO or two we can "let them go" and join you as regular pioneers! What a blessing from Jah!
We know you will truly appreciate this new provision from God!
Your brother (yes the department is down to one brother - no bethelite left here
let's imagine that a 10 year old gets baptized.
parents split and kid never goes back to the hall again.
15 years later kid celebrates christmas and gets df since some dub saw him celebrating.
Just a thought ...
WT1964 p126 para 1 "Did You Make an Acceptable Dedication to God?"
I remember about ten/twelve years ago a CO covering a point about this with our body of elders.
The point made was that if someone had been "seriously" or "grossly" sinning at a disfellowshipping offence level (and obviously kept it hidden) all the way through their dedication and baptism then their baptism could be considered invalid. He said that occasionally, especially if the person was a minor when they were baptised and if they had not become a pioneer or MS or Elder when they were an adult (which might indicate forgiveness and blessing by God - what a joke - ) then their baptism might be annulled and each case would be on a case by case basis.
He said it was extremely rare but that it had happened. This in the UK.
...
So if you could hold it together long enough to get your story straight and you wrote to bethel to say you had been continually e.g. smoking or committing porneia or stealing either side of your baptism you just might get an annulment. Might you just say "I definitely didn't dedicate my life to God, I just did it to please my parents and because of peer pressure."?
However it usually only happened when it suited the branch for example if there is bad publicity like when a jw child abuser can be said to have never been a witness and that would suit the jw hierarchy to put it out that he/she was never really a witness anyway.
i just spoke to my dad who's been an elder since ~'72 and still is.
he told me about a meeting he just had about kh annual maintenance.
whoever led the meeting (not sure who) announced the world leaders in re locations owned:.
myname is lame said "Odd thing for a religion to be bragging about."
Very true. Especially one whose leader had "nowhere to lay his head".
