I think many WT bethel drones are cowards - all they care about is their image and the God of their belly (and their board and lodging on the backs of the brothers and sisters).

They're even eating themselves now and kicking out the older and less useful.

Did you see the obsequious Andrew Tokley SC the WT lawyer grovelling in front of Peter McLellan at the Australian Royal Commission? I mean imagine standing before Christ and explaining that far from being the light of the world he helps his masters on the branch committee and governing body sanitize and cover over and hide child abuse from Caesar's "God appointed" representatives.

How can they believe? Vomit is what they are.

this a question more out of curiosity, because we have not stepped foot in a kh in 3 years.. how is the attendance at the meetings/assemblies?

i know the answer will vary due to location.. are you (especially elders) receiving any notification or communication from bethel or co's that there is an upsurge of people that are simply disappearing or out right dis associating?.

Over the last two years, slightly lower attendances, slightly more lethargic attitude; lower baptisms this last year at circuit days. Young ones walking out the door by fading. One older lady faded. One older lady walking out by DA'ing.

Our publisher count remains static but only because about 8 publishers have moved in.

One baptism - a young lad who is now about 17 and he was baptised in the great flush of 2014 and is now not seen and on the way to inactivity!

they come in and have thee nerve to ask me to step out so they can speak to pops!!!!

i'm an anglican and not a jehovahs witness.

what i dislike about lots of church congregations is their readiness to make unpleasant and unhelpful comments about other christian groups.

recently someone in a church tried to tell me a little about the views of jehovahs witnesses.

Hello!

This forum is open to Jehovah's Witnesses and non-Jehovah's Witnesses so welcome.

It is largely inhabited by ex-jehovah's witnesses, jehovah's witnesses who are trying to disengage from the religion without losing their family by being shunned and by troubled jehovah's witnesses who are sick and fed up of any or all or more than failed predictions/expectations, child abuse mishandling and thinly-veiled hints and requests for money.

In answer to your question - yes you could get a Bible from their London HQ, or you could go up to one of their literature trolleys in market squares across the UK and ask for one, or into a Kingdom Hall and ask for one.

You will be given one without charge.

Alternatively go on to jw.org and it is there on line on the home page for you to click on.

Come back here any time if you have a question and you will get honest answers.

I am losing

i haven't posted anything for a bit, but wanted to express how i am losing this battle.

it has been over 3 years now since i woke up about watchtower.

the battle that i am talking about is the tug of war with my wife (i adore her immensely), watchtower is winning, she simply will not give in to my so-called negative thoughts about the religion that we are in.

Or stay with her and rebuild your life. Accept she wants to do what she wants to do. You do what you want to - get a hobby and do that when she is at meetings or on the ministry.

If she is not actively reporting you to elders and making your life misery just be a good husband (not a doormat), arrange fun things and weekends away and show your contended happy attitude even if you have to act it out sometimes.

Laugh lightly at the daft things (without being nasty to her) jw's now do. "I love the witness cart ministry. That must be why we have all these extra seats being filled at the meetings."

But also make a point. "How can you witness to parents to bring their families to the meetings when you know the brothers haven't sorted out the way they handle abuse problems?" Don't argue just make the comment and look puzzled.

Be happy focusing on the fact you are mentally free - not unhappy focusing on the fact that your wife isn't (yet).

Almost three months since Crisis of Conscience Cease and Desist

i am very interested in getting crisis of conscience being fully available as soon as possible.

march 12th will mark exactly three months since the cease-and-desist letter was written.. i understand that things are slow and that deborah may be sick, but i was just wondering if anyone knew the status.

i have been asked twice already where the book can be obtained in spanish and i have told people that the book is not available.. there are ways to make ebooks extremely hard to share.

It really is sad it is not available more readily.
