@Dropoff ...
Good to hear normal low service is being resumed!
well, round my way (south of the uk) all the way up to and including the regional conventions this summer, baptism numbers have been extremely low.
but i have just received news of three recent circuit assembly days where the figures seem to be higher.
(all have been across the last three weekends at a uk assembly hall in october).

hello on this beautiful sunday!
just a quick little update to the post i made a few months ago about my mil shunning us.
quick recap: during a convo after she attended the rc and was going on and on about how powerful it was and how great the videos were, blah, blah, blah...i couldn't take it anymore and told her that's not our lives anymore and i didn't want to hear anymore about it and to please respect that and move on to something else to talk about.
@diogenesister
Indeed. But it doesn't say "young" children and it doesn't say anything about which roof they live under. And Beautiful mind is not even DFD or DA'D so paragraph one applies.
Of course for a JW to break the unwritten, the spoken behind the hand and the implied rules he/she needs to be prepared to stand up to the social pressure within dubland but for the reverse Nicodemus's amongst them there is that loophole.

Those who were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses but no longer preach to others, perhaps even drifting away from association with fellow believers, are not shunned. In fact, we reach out to them and try to rekindle their spiritual interest.
We do not automatically disfellowship someone who commits a serious sin. If, however, a baptized Witness makes a practice of breaking the Bible’s moral code and does not repent, he or she will be shunned or disfellowshipped. The Bible clearly states: “Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.”—1 Corinthians 5:13.
What of a man who is disfellowshipped but whose wife and children are still Jehovah’s Witnesses? The religious ties he had with his family change, but blood ties remain. The marriage relationship and normal family affections and dealings continue.

Not easy beautiful mind. Well done for sticking to your principles.
Direct her to the FAQ on dotborg and ask her why it is different to the videos she sees at the assembly and the CLAM meeting.

Bump! In light of this weeks WT study ...
i have argued with several jws who are now being trained to deny the org ever said the end in 75, what is your approach?.
@Fisherman
Were you a JW in 1975? How old were you in 1975? Approximately ...
this question was addressed on the jw advisor blog (a defending watchtower website), july 24,2016 .
the answer is interesting because it is more in accord with what the bible fortells but it is not in accord with what the watchtower is currently teaching and has been for decades.
it has been suggested on this forum that the site has been sanctioned by the watchtower or written by writers at hq.this is the current view of the watchtower and is under 'bible teachings' on jw org.
Can anyone else see protostar's posts? How would I do that to report back to you?
he was a unique voice, i loved him.

maybe leonard bowed out because donald got in.
Yup, 2016 has not been good for great musical talent passing away.
But watch out for interminable playing of "Hallelujah" on the radio for the next couple of weeks. I'll enjoy it for the first couple of times then it will grate.
we've seen one backflip.
crooked hillary became a hard-working woman who deserves the nations praise (in his victory speech);.
now according to a uk newspaper:.
I hope it bodes better for the USA. (and the rest of the world because when you guys sneeze we catch a cold)
The more power Hitler got the more disastrous his dictatorship became. In power January 1933. All check on his power gone when Paul von Hindenburg died in summer 1934. Ramping up his war rhetoric and persecution of the Jews and minorities 1935 - 1938. Then WW2.
But as soon as Trump is voted in he moderates his more extreme rhetoric. Good. At least he is listening.
I hope.

leakinginfo: what can be done to find out who is leaking documents?.
I can't believe that "JW Advisor" is not awake to some degree. And nuts to some degree.
