It's a minor irritation to me if it's legal.

At least they are offering free water according to the article.

Not sure what the position is here in the UK. I would imagine the passing sentiment of anything between rolling eyes and "why don't you go and do something useful, idiot?" would be the norm here.

Time for a new type/anti-type, G.B? 2033 is the new 1975!

a well known scripture says, "however, do not let this escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with jehovah as a thousand years......." (2 peter 3:8) .

using this divine calculation of time, let's apply it to a prophetic type/anti-type scenario:.

matthew 16:21 says, ".....the christ would suffer and rise from among the dead on the third day...", while john 21:1 reveals that it was at the very beginning of that third day - "on the first day of the week, mary magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and she saw that the stone had already been taken away from the tomb.

"The Governing Body" (said by Steven Lett, while gurning and nodding his head) has found out that Jerusalem fell in 587 BCE! This means that instead of being 1914CE as the throwing of Satan down to the earth and kingdom rule being set up in the heavens we should be looking at 1934CE.

Now this is so obvious brothers, why didn't we see ... Jehovah's chariot ... blah blah ... overlap ...

1934 was when Hitler became supreme ruler of Germany when Hindenburg died and evidently fits in with when Satan came to the earth to mislead the nations and blah blah blah.

So the Generation which saw 1934 doesn't overlap at all and if you were a baby in 1934 you would be well along in years now so the end is very very soon; even imminent! This is no time to be toying with the words of Jesus when he said nobody knows the day and the hour.

The Generation that saw 1934 will by no means pass away. A prophet has gone among us! Sell your homes! Pioneer! Short remaining time!

Stonewalling and the Governing Body

why do the gb stonewall individuals with legitimate questions.

for example, they refuse to speak to investagative journalists like trey bundy, unless they happen to get caught somewhere walking about in the street by chance.. i remember the panorama documentary 'suffer the little children' where the presenter tried to arrange an interview with one of the gb.

i can't remember if the gb either refused or simply didn't reply.

It is even rare to be allowed to ask a question in elders meetings of the CO. If he doesn't like it he will quickly shut it down.

I remember a classic elders school in the UK in the 1990's where they allowed an "any questions (about judicial procedure)" at the end. We had had 8 hours on a wet and rainy December weekend and faced a two hour drive home.

After about three or four questions from wannabee keeners in the nature of "what counts as gambling" and "what's the difference between "heavy petting" and "loose conduct" sort of thing this crusty old boy says ...

"I have a question. I'm tired and have been sat here for eight hours. Can we go home please!?"

And the instructor said yes and wrapped it up!

X by 25 = 150 x 2 people per apartment = 300 residents? This might even include guest accommodation for visiting GB members and other "dignitaries."

Huge scale back from present facilities (which will easily pay for this and then some.)

Once they're completed by deluded volunteer drones doing "Jehovah's work" (and avoiding D2D and cart work) watch out for the mass firings of even more Bethelites (no more printing from March next year remember) ...

Bethelites being enthusiastic about this = turkeys voting for Xmas!

What does it take to qualify for cart/trolley work?

if memory serves me, when it was first introduced elders had to fill out a form to grade a jw, and only those who made the grade could do the carts.. i didn’t realize until sir82 said something on another discussion that the process had changed.. what is the process nowadays?

Local cong. it is usually most publishers who would be allowed to aux. pioneer. However smellies, crazies, elder-baiters need not apply.

Metropolitan (circuit organised for a larger town or city and it's the reg. pios plus solid elders, min. servs and their wives and a handful of favoured exemplary publishers allowed by the service committee.
