  i am sorry that on my first post i am asking for help and advice but i am at my wits end.

  i have been brought up a witness all my life and it is all i know.

  i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

  My advice.

  Calm down and give us some proof as to your bona fides. We will help mightily if you are genuine. But we won't send you cash and you need to earn trust.

  I still sometimes call the WT Overseer "the WT conductor" in colloquial terms and the rest of your posts seem to fit terminology.

  Here is what doesn't fit: convince me.

  You sound so, so, so dependent and panicky from someone at least old enough to be an elder.

  So here is what I would like to hear.

  1. The area of the UK you are from; describe your country and town or city - it's geographical features - what the climate is like - the things it is known for. That will give me a clue if you really live in the UK. How long have you lived there?

  2. Your approx age.

  3. Your parents attitude - is one more lenient than the other? Siblings?

  4. What the elders and you have actually discussed - detail.

  Some guidance for you.

  There is plenty of work for hard-working cleaners in the UK. There are even websites offering jobs to refugees as cleaners. You could have a job within a week. Do that immediately. There is no reason why you couldn't earn £10 an hour in London and £7/8 per hour elsewhere.

  If the brother who employs you doesn't fire you immediately you have time to look. If he does fire you just because you are DF'd then I would feel no guilt in "taking" clients for my self and cleaning direct. I would tell them that you have been fired for leaving your religion and need work. If you are good some will want you to clean for them.

  I do not believe you would be fired on the spot - employment laws and safeguards are in place. You will probably have at least a month's notice. If the brother likes you he might even say work is "necessary business" and you can stay until you find something else.

  If you can provide those things we can help. If you run around panicking, we can't.

  If you answer my questions convincingly I am happy to P.M. - but only on things that would otherwise reveal your (and my own) identity. As an ex-elder myself with much experience of jw procedures and ways to stall investigations I believe I can help.

  Seven Trumpets of Revelation

  i read on here that the society teaches that the seven trumpets of revelation are representative of seven conventions held in america in the 1920. is this actually true?

  is it old light?

  i asked some witnesses but they all gave me a look like i was weird and said it couldn't be right, and i can't check the watchtower library as i can't get it on my computer (apparently the society doesn't think mac users are worthy of the 'good news') i mean... it would be a bit...odd, wouldn't it?

  just a few observations from this morning.

  .. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.

  we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.

  1950 Watchtower Bound Volume now Complete!

  the 1950 september 15th watchtower is now complete and this will finish the 1950 watchtower bound volume.

  a big thank you to jaydee for all of his hard work of scanning the watchtowers into jpg files which i received and converted into pdf files and made them searchable.

  jaydee worked day and night to get these files finished for us and i really appreciate his kindness... we only had to darken out one name on one shipping label.

  to me honestly this would of been prohibited 10 years ago, but now every dub is obsessed with this website, it's everywhere even a damn iphone cover... ooh they don't approve of idolatry ooh no they don't accept cross veneration thats bullshit to me!!!

  its getting to a point that they are venerating this website (company logo) it's their version of the cross.

  When you are sat in front of elders (or trying to explain your chosen course to dearly deluded loved ones) and you point to there own publications for proof of what was said they cannot call your source "apostate". They may of course call it old light and then you can ask "what of today's light will be old light in the future?"

  It gives legitimacy to an assertion you make about 1914/1925/1975/the generation/the work that would finish in "our 20th Century" etc etc. It gives a reason as to why you are no longer "whole-souled" to the organisation.

  You cannot be disfellowshipped for showing them what "healthful words" were written in their own publications in the same way as you can for "quoting apostate sources".

  Even here in the U.K. the lapel badges are making a limited appearance. I expect it among the gushy teenage gurlies and their iphones - but I visited a nearby hall last weekend and there was a brother in his mid-thirties with a flashy jworgasm broach in his suit jacket lapel.

  Elder's daughter is after me

  she is michal, her father acts like saul, and i'm david.. i do care for her since she's vulnerable and weak, i consider myself for her protector a personal kevin kostner.but this is very time consuming, nerve wracking endeavour.. she acts childish, insensitive and insecure, i have spent *** dont' know how many sleepless *** nights, in the last 3 months we're playing cat and mouse, cold and warm & i'm fed up.. this kind of irresponsible behaviour is not yet written in the manual for me to look for an answer.. but finally i do know what i need.

  i will look for my bathsheba and settle down..
