  Introduction - Any Believers?

  i’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.

  i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.

  i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

  If there is a creator (who may have created life and guided evolution or a mix of the two or whatever) I have to say I do not see any evidence of one who retains (if ever there was any) a benevolent or helpful or active interest in or support of mankind.

  the recent closure of jwr made me realize that this site may not be eternal as well.

  a great deal of people attach a lot of importance to xjw communities and yours is the best.

  i just wanted to take a minute to say "hi" and welcome to the site for anyone who's come here from jwr.

  i can imagine the site being shut down suddenly was shocking and unsettling for many who relied on it and sometimes you don't realize how much you do rely on something until it is gone.. hopefully you'll see some of the same familiar names appearing and be able to reconnect with people you knew via this site and continue your journey together.

  i don't know what the posting policies on jwr were but know it as a moderated site so can't imagine them being hugely different to the ones here.

  i was surfing jw recovery .com, all of the sudden a screen came up that says .

  jehovah's witness recovery.

  after much consideration, we have decided to move on to other things, and bring this site to a close.

  Remember when London Bethel got wind of the possible closing of this site? "High fives" were reported?

  Why a drop of over 3,700 publishers in the Democratic Republic of Congo?

  looking at the figures for 2014 to 2015 the numbers have dropped from 180,343 to 176,585.. any idea why?.

  great news!.

  we are free!.

  as of the 9th of june, me and my dear wife mrs. eden handed over our letters of disassociation at bethel in portugal, thus making official our departure from the jehovah's witnesses.

  I wonder if there is anyone left in the Portuguese branch to read it after all the cutbacks! Maybe send a copy to some of the congregation members that you know?
