  A.N.Z.A.C. Day 25th APRIL

  the 25th april is the day australia and new zealand remember their war dead.. on the 25th april 1915 troops from many nations including australian and new zealanders landed on the shores of turkey.

  the anzac forces at a place called gallipoli or galliboli by the turkish people.. the concept was to land move inland attack constantinople and there by force turkey out of the war (1914-1918) and bring it too a swift end.

  the whole operation was a monumental stuff up with the anzacs being landed in the wrong place up against steep cliffs.

  JW Cartoons

  i've recently watched the jw cartoons centered around teaching young kids the doctrines of this faith.

  while i no longer practice any faith, i am well versed in this one.

  i must say, these cartoons are in bad, bad taste.

  It may be that the majority on this forum are as you have described, but actually that is not solely what this forum is stated as being for - it also is to discuss matters related to Jehovah's Witnesses and JW beliefs and practices and gain support in dealing with them.

  Also if you read the original poster's profile you would have seen the association they have with JW's and seen why they may have chosen to post.

  If someone joins/posts for the first time on a forum might it be the course of wisdom to be generally welcoming?

  My impressions of the cart witnessing

  i have watched tons of youtube videos of our exjdub friends approaching and talking to the jdub manikins at their carts as they give a great witness to the world by sipping their hot lattes, updating their social media, chit chatting to each other, and the most important thing of getting their time in, counting their hours.. when the jw's see someone approach with a camera they do several things, they will turn their backs on the person, or look at the person with a frown and act like the person isn't even there.

  the witlesses refuse to answer simple, clear, and precise questions.

  when i was an elder i loved to get into discussions and debates with trinitarians, priest, clergymen and those who were born again.

  Nevertheless Bobby it's all very GRAVE for your beloved organisation because as Barbara says in the OP - a Judge has ordered them to hand over internal documents ...

  You can WHITEWASH it anyway you like but there is precious little of 1 Peter 2 v 12 that applies to the Borg.

  2018 Courage Convention video invitation

  the video invitation for the 2018 convention is just creepy.

  i thought it was some parody at first as it seems 'dark'.it begins with a young man being pushed whilst standing at his locker and the voice over says that 'in critical times we need courage more than ever'.

  next, comes a clip of a male putting his hand on the shoulder of a female worker, the look she gives him would be enough to give him nightmares for the next year.

  Are the 8 superstar Popes planning a purge?

  there are over 8 million jdubs and i would venture a guess that at least 20% to 30% are pimo.

  in my opinion, the kingdom hauls are only half full for two reasons....many have left but the majority are pimo and any little excuse will keep them home and they will report their token ghost hours in service.

  all it takes to stay home is being tired, too much school homework or i will go next week, no doubt many have taken part-time jobs and the fear of working the second shift and the guilt of missing meetings is gone.

  I do believe that the word "strategic" has been put in most deliberately and that is because they were planning the KH/AH sell-offs and branch/circuit downsizing to ramp up.

  What they need is for the PIMI elders especially to stay on board and some PIMI elders do think. They think things like this ...

  "I hope they don't touch our savings fund set aside for a new hall."

  "Surely they won't take our savings, make us share and then expect us to keep on sending monthly donations ... will they?"
  

  "I hope they don't sell our KH and make us drive to another hall, I don't really want to amalgamate with Inner Fumbuck."

  "I hope Inner Fumbuck doesn't come to our hall because then we'll have the graveyard slot on Sunday evenings."

  I don't believe there is any whacky enforcement "koolaid" or even "tithing" plan coming down the pipe - just more social pressure to "give more" along with "do more" and "obey more".

  BUT ... as they see more decline in numbers and more apostasy and more dissenters they will grip tighter and get the CO's to push DF'ing - not in writing, but in verbal pressure - it's what they do.
