When i used to be JW I thought why The WatchTower and Awake! never mencioned anything about radicalism in the muslim religion. They are always complaining about Christianity and the unfair issues in the free world. Nowadays, is still the same even when there are lots of nasty evidence of the muslim religion.
To me seems that they want to keep safe of any threats from the muslims. Of course, I think that Islamism is more dangerous than Christianity nowaday, though radicalism can be met in both, christianity have faced more revolutions and councils.
If anyone is interested in the Islamism a would recommend a few books:
- Fitna: War in the heart of Islam (By Gilles Kepel)
- Islamic Imperialism: A history (Efraim Karsh)
- The war of ideas: Jihadism against Democracy (Walid phares)
- Understanding terror netwoks (Marc Sageman)
- Dying to win: The strategies of the suicide terrorism (Robert A. Pape)
- Countering Terrorism: Can we met the treat of gloval violence? (Michael Chandler)
- Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis (Bat YeOr)
- The `West' Islam and Islamism: Is ideological Islam compatible with liberal democracy? (Caroline Cox)

Answering some of the question I'd say:
1.- Whereas JH Kurtz was kick out from the committee was basically that he was acused of being a drunk by J. Bursnall (Garlic Head) who became a member of the committee straight away in the same zone visit. John Kurtz was known as a heavy drinker. He was deported to Brooklyng in February 1999. Eventually, he passed away in 2002 in Bethel.
Ed Palau is just a brainless man. As a factory overseer was a police dog. No educated man at all and quite rude in his behaviour. The reason why he was kick out from the committee, was a lack of respect from avery one who knows him, specially within the committe. He never pay respect to the guys who was working with. He ruled as Knorr in the 70s. Is easier to know why he was in the committee: He was able to speak English. He was a galaadite in the 60s.
Lots of gossips and jokes were circulating all ocer the country when he was engaged to this young lady 40 years younger than him. Under his regime no one who was engaged remain as a bethelite. He didn't hesitate to meet the guy pissing in the loo and tell him from the door: We have dealt with your case about being engaged and the decision is that we do not need you any more. Good luck.
He is just a foolish who became something because he was JW able to speak English.

Last Wednesday was printed in Spain the last numbers of The Watchtower and Awake! in the Spanish Branch. Now the printer is awaiting for better times somewhere. Britain may be??? Below some pictures are available.
The old timer next to the printer is Eduardo Palau (Mister Champan) used to be a member of the branch committee till 1998 when he got married to a sister of 28 years old. He was 40 years older at that time. A few months later that year Gerrit Losch cut him off from the committee as well as the Branch coordinator J.H. Kurtz.
I don't understand why people around is taking pictures and smiling. This meant that 70 have been kicked out of Bethel. Many of them in their forties and fifties. The massive departure have to be completed by 1st of January 2010.

"I know some of each. My wife and I did. Many brothers came forward before accepting appointments and had to face judicial action for it years later. Many never said anything about it.
I would say the percentage that waits is extremely higher than other groups of "Christians."
I think the same about JW morality, however, the lack of statistics and information about it make impossible to know real facts. I say that because after leaving the JW, I realised how many of them, many in good standing, were involved in a double life.
