Sorry to burst your little bubble Atalaya but you haven't proved anything here except your a mindless idiot. I know I know I am a meanie apostate and all but your just stupid. I could go on and on about how brothers have mistreated women......FOr example a bookstudy conductor said and I qoute "Women are good at stuff like remembering anniverseries and giving out gell well cards but men are really equipped to handle the "heavy things." Hmmmmmm that was at the bookstudy on the family life book. I hope you enjoyed counting your time today. You have completely reinforced to me once again why I do not attend meetings anymore. Thanks, you did me a great favor!

Ok Atalaya one more time. Show me a DIRECT COMMAND BY GOD saying women are to be in subjection. AGAIN I am NOT saying to show me a qoute from PAUL. Oh and by the way, Paul starts off his OPINION by saying "For I (I not JEHOVAH) desire the women to be silent blah blah blah blah." OK so yes we all agree Paul gave his opinion. Again give me one DIRECT COMMAND BY GOD saying I desire women to be in subjection to their husbands. Again patiently waiting. Oh and you say the congregation supports the hard work of the sisters. They only support the hard work of the sisters if it is something they approve (i.e. raising children, ironing shirts, cleaning toilets and of course preaching). If a woman decides to have a career or go to college you know that is something they will not support. Okay, so again waiting patiently for a DIRECT COMMAND BY GOD FOR WOMEN TO BE IN SUBJECTION TO THEIR HUSBANDS AND TO BE SILENT IN THE CONGREATION. LET ME REINFORCE NOT A QOUTE OF SOMEBODY'S OPINION BUT A DIRECT COMMAND BY GOD.

Good one MrsJones!!! OK Atalaya, let's reason like this. If something is important to Jehovah a direct command was always given by HIM. For example, not to murder, fornicate, adultry, etc. I want you to show me a direct command from God saying women are to be in subjection. Let me clarify I am not talking about qouting Paul or some other bible writer. I am talking about a DIRECT COMMAND from God......I bet you can't find one cause there is not one!!!! The only direct command God gave concerning women were:
1. To be fruitful and become many (given to Adam and Eve)
2. That child were to honor their father and mother (which if you think about it was quite radical at the time since it was such a patriarchial society where women were neither honor nor respected)
So besides Paul's saying (who obviously had a problem with women) show me a DIRECT COMMAND by God.....I am waiting patiently.

Atalaya I am a sister and have talked with many sisters. When you get the "sisters" talking the way they really feel comes out. Oh and by the way the role they have in the organization today is how "men" have set it up NOT Jehovah. If you look at how Jesus treated women when he was on the earth it is opposite of how the society treats women. Basically the way the society has it set up for women can be likened to this illustration:
There is a Supervisor at a company who has a wonderful employee. That employee is hard working, smart, etc. The potential for that employee is limitless. Yet the Supervisor makes this statement "OK I am the Supervisor and you are to be in subjection to me. You will NEVER be over me. You are not qualified to make decisions and take the lead because your eyes are green and not blue like mine. Therefore that makes you inable to handle "real responsbility." You can do all you can to make me look good so when we turn in our yearly report I will come out with wonderful statistics. Ok now go and do as I say and don't question it. Just be in complete subjection. You will never go beyond date entry into the computer even though you could probably do so much more. After all, that is how our corporation have set it up. Every body has a "place" in this corporation and this is yours."
Oh and by the way Atalaya are you male or female? I am thinking male.......Go ahead and go back to your organization where if you have a penis you can make all the decisions, tell people what to do and abuse your power.

Ok Atalaya let me break this down for you:
Nobody said the society doesn't allow the women to preach.....That is firmly established. That is why it is hilarious that they demean women in every other way and then say "ok now ladies go and preach cause after all the women telling the good news is a large army.".......At the same time sisters are expected to go and preach to people they don't even know (which takes courage) and TEACH. Yet in the congregation they are viewed as second class citizens who are to be demure and quiet. They keep the women in fear by saying "be careful of a Jezebel influence" (which interestingly applies to both MEN and WOMEN yet always is applied to women). Women are told to be in subjection to their husbands and go go along with a decision even if they don't agree to help make it turn out okay......Just a couple of years ago there was an article about weddings and the good ole boys up in Brooklyn made it clear that the wedding is not the bride's day at all and the groom is to have the final say over decisions made.......They have told women to respect their rapists. I can just see Loesch taking it up the rear by some rapist and saying "Yes sir May I have another!!!" If you look at the articles in the early 80's when Women's Lib was really at its height the society totally downgraded feminism. They made it sound soooo unchristian. They have never been sensitive to women's issues. They might right now at the time period we live have softened a little bit but the underlying chauvinism is there and always will be. They say don't put your trust in men yet they qoute Paul's words of hatreds towards women as gold. I truly believe Jesus would be disgusted by their views on women and maybe go up to Bethel and overturn their tables.....

i apologize if this has been mentioned, but i don't have the time to come on here as often.

yesterday's bookstudy on divorce got my shorts in a bit of a knot.

apparently, according to the god's love book, a wife could consider legal separation from her husband if she is physically abused, but (get this) only in the case of extreme physical abuse, and if the wife's life is in danger.

To really see how the society views women simply put the WT CD in and look under "women"......sooo very interesting. I did and was completely disgusted! They view women as incapable of making decisions and being more emotional than reasonable and absolutely LOVE to perpretuate that stereotype. They demand women be in subjection to their husbands and go along with the decision "even if they don't agree."......Hmmmmmm sure that is a level playing field......If that is their basic views then why is it so hard to see that abuse of women would be a problem in that organization? Also let's get the facts straight. While I will not deny that women can be abusive in relationships (and I do NOT agree that is okay) domestic violence is an issue that effects more women than men. If you look at this website:

Also if you look under rape under the society CD you will see that at one time the society said that a women should "treat her rapist with respect"........Hmmmmm, if the society expects a woman to treat a man she doesn't even know who is raping her (which probably would include hitting her, gagging her, choking her, slapping her) with RESPECT then why the hell would they would take a situation of a husband abusing his wife as a problem?????? DUH!!!!!
