  for me, a jehovah's witness does not have a real life!

  jw's are like trained soldiers.

  they could be fervent or lax or happy or unhappy in their role but they are trained to drone on like stepford wives.. what an utter waste of an existence being a jehovah's witness!.

  i remember one time when i was about 17 years old, i wanted to arrange a costume party for the young brothers in the congo around my age.

  i suggested it to one of my friends and was told that the elders had advised against it because it could be construed as pagan and masks have their roots in demonism.

  of course, i was never shown any biblical proof of this but just that response took the wind out of my sails and i decided to just not go through with it.

  I was counseled about wearing a colored shirt on the platform for the Ministry School; then the CO showed up the next week with a colored shirt on.

  That rule was then flushed down the toilet.

  I bought an Alfa Romeo 164L when Chrysler and Alfa had a brief arrangement in the 90's. I loved that car, with a 5 speed it was a blast in the mountains, and topped out at about 150 mph.

  Today is my 10th anniversary!

  none of my three marriages lasted that long!

  today is the tenth anniversary of my being disfellowshipped.

  apparently i am much better at being disfellowshipped than being married.. i might end up getting married again someday, but i will definitely not return to the cult.. say amen!.
