Farkel,
I am with OTWO on this one. Keep writing, even if you do not share it on this board. It is cathartic to write your experiences. I definitely received my share of abuse from obtuse people for putting myself out there in the past. I, for one, would love to hear the rest of your story. It parallels mine, except inverted. My father was the bastard, instead of the other way around.
I will give you a challenge, I will show you mine, if you show me yours. I will write the true and unabridged story of my life in the JW's here, if you have the courage to continue yours.

Did your wardrobe of clothes change when you left the JW'S
by Hairyhegoat inmine did and i have not put a suit on since escaping the cult.
the mrs has given all but 1 away to the charity shops and i have loads more room in me wardrobe now.
what items of clothing did you get rid of when you got out of the cult ?

Yes and no. I still have my suits, but have much less occasion to wear them. I was in sales, so my suit collection is very nice. I stood out like a sore thumb at the Kingdom Hall, as they were not leisure suits or double-knit polyester. I still like to dress up from time to time. But I am usually casual or dress casual now.
