That you inquire, and do not share. Duh! A little not manly.

My mother is 87, and she deals with it. Don't puss out, mini. Grow some stones.

I wasn't happy with my outcome, I had to come to grips with it later. I found out about the UN scandal 1 1/2 years after I got DF'ed. It freed me of the guilt that gripped me when I got the big D. It was only through education and matureation that I moved beyond this. I can cut loose my sisters (one that I don't care about, and one that I love and is misguided).
I am not happy or sad of my outcome. It is just a fact of life. Just as the organization is not what we thought it would be. It is just fact, and I have to deal with that.
Thank you for finally sharing a bit, mini.

I started smoking as an act of rebellion. Not too smart, in retrospect. I started playing the lottery, and haven't won yet (except the weeks I do not play).

BTW,
I am disfellowshipped, and it has made an impact on my life. I have no contact with both of my sisters. I will have been disfellowshipped for 10 years this summer. I find it offensive for mini to put up this question without sharing how it would affect him.
Share, or STFU.

At different stages of your life, what did you lack, that deprived you of fulfillment or completeness?
by miseryloveselders ini don't believe that there is such a thing as a perfect, or an ideal situation.
ideal is the more appropriate word to use, because the word itself denotes a conception, a remote possibility, not a reality.
i'm asking you, in your lifetime, have you ever found complete fulfillment, or felt complete within yourself, and your accomplishments?

I am still struggling with that.

Who Most Closely Resembles Ray Franz in Terms of Beliefs, Conclusions and Personality?
by headisspinning inokay, so i am a born-in and as many of you know almost finished reading 'crisis of conscience'... .
it disturbs me greatly that ray has passed on because i would love to talk to him.. i guess, i am so used to following someone or something that i feel like i'm floundering... i don't know... i guess i really want someone to tell me 'the way'.. from ray's writing i would be more than happy to seriously examine the conclusions he came to and his own beliefs.. i just don't know which way to turn now.
from reading his book i greatly respect him and damnit... why did he have to leave?.

I had the privelege to talk to Ray when he was alive. BA is the closest I can think of. She is a real person, as Ray was.
