  since the little tropical storm we had sunday...... many still don't have power...... the holy gillette stadium is located at foxboro which has no power....... yet the most holies of the holy gillette stadium is bathed in brilliant light!!.

  thursday a home preseason game (meaningless i might add) can be played..... how we love our sports!!.

  of course the foxboro residents.....at times lose their sense of loyalty and complain why they are in the dark?.

  i remember that in my old hall there was a single pioneer sister who lived in the kh basement.

  she did not drive, (22 years old) and she was.

  such a "spiritual example" .. but now i remember going out in service with the group on a saturday morning, and she would be part of the group that was in my car.. we would do about an hour of service door to door, and then return visits for an hour or two.

  after a prayer, the presiding overseer will state what the purpose of the meeting is.

  if it's a quarterly meeting, the elders will discuss the spirituality of the congregation, its spirit and any dangerous trends that may be observed.

  it has been over a month and a half since i have even been on the board, and that really only to ask about gps units (got a tom-tom) and mention the new job.

  way too busy with life - post jw now 4 years.. of course, the new job has benefits, health insurance, etc.

  (including unlimited use of the company car for personal use and the company pays for the unlimited gas for about a $25/week out of my check -- huge benefit) and this has enabled toni and i to finally after a two year engagement, to get married.

  years (many decades) ago, most jws knew what their religion taught.

  they could go toe to toe with a minister or priest and make some good points.. i believe today's witness knows little about most of the convoluted teachings and revisions of the "truth".

  yesteryear's witnesses got a 9/10.
