  Are you going to Auxilliary Pioneer this October?

  the little demo at the ca showed a young fella meditating and by golly he reasoned that october had an extra weekend so that was reason enough for him to put in a a pioneer application.

  what a brilliant idea.. who else will be doing this?.

  i have been meaning to post my experience at the pioneer school and i will as soon as time permits but theres something that has happened recently in my life that has impacted me in such a horrible way that i just have to get off my chest.. as you may know ive been trying to fade.

  Sorry about being blindsided like that. I know it feels like a kick in the taco.

  I suggest that you try to develop a network of friends on the outside of the congregation. Go to meetups and apostafests, and make some of your virtual friends here real and tangible friends in real life. Get phone numbers and talk to others in the same situation.

  I don't believe that my personality changed after leaving the JW's. What changed was my worldview.

  After finding out that it was not the true religion, I first was overcome with a wave of anger, that they could make moral judgements about me while they were sleeping with the UN. Then a wave of peace came over me because it was the first time in my life that I had no morbid dread of Armeggedon.

  After that I had to reevaluate everything that I thought I knew. I started with "Is the sky really blue?" Then I went on to adjust my viewpoints on everything with an open mind.

  I always felt like a square peg being pounded into a round hole as a Witness. I think it was because I had a personality.

  i like to think that i'm perfectly rational at all times.. so in the interest of making myself more awesome i'd like to admit to and try to to fix a prejudice i think i may have.

  but i'd also like to make sure it's not grounded in reality.. .

  so earlier i saw a story about a woman who killed her baby in the microwave.

  Stressful Session with Uber-Zealous Parents--The Mermaid needs a hug!

  okay, for those of you who don't know, i was raised jw by really great though uber-zealous parents.

  i'm now an adult and have been inactive for about two years due a bunch of reasons, the primary one (or at least the one that got the ball rolling) being the pathological intellectual dishonesty of the wt in how it handles secular quotes and citations.

  anyway, my parents are aware of all that and have left the issue alone for about the last year.

  Big hugs for the Mermaid!

  Your post is very frustrating to me. I had the same issue when in University, but I had the double whammy of finding out about the UN/NGO scandal at about the same time. I almost was charged with plagiarism for quoting one of the Watchtower publications in a paper. I cited them correctly, but their lack of quoting honesty got me in hot water.

  I still am very interested in the other story too. How does your elder husband fit in? Is he a wannabe fader too?

  What age should you get baptized?

  as from today i am disfellowshipped.

  my parents cant talk to me and alot of issues have arisen which i have mentioned in my other posts.

  i got baptized at 14 and i think it is way to young to make such a decision which will affect your whole life.

  yeah thatnks jw step grandmother bitch.

  i can't believe that she would not call her step sons and let them know their father had passed away.

  my father is a jw also and my little sister sees this woman at assemblies and she didn't bother to call anyone.
