i am stoked about going to see dweezil zappa in concert on thursday.
it is going to be a date night, and the person i am taking never had the chance to see his father frank in concert.
i know that she will appreciate the complexity and beauty of his music, as well as some of his off-color humor.. yes "humor does belong in music!".

i've recently watched the jw cartoons centered around teaching young kids the doctrines of this faith.
while i no longer practice any faith, i am well versed in this one.
i must say, these cartoons are in bad, bad taste.
greetings, pet owners and lovers:.
while i have no pets of my own, i do care for dogs and cats and have cared for bunnies and guinea pigs in the past.
i'm working on an essay with an 11-year-old student, and the subject is symbiotic relationships and how humans learn from their close interaction with animals.. here is a portion of the reference material under study:.
Rusty is my faithful companion. I really don't deserve him. He is still full of life, I couldn't have gotten through the last months without him. He is starting to get a stately amount of grey on his muzzle, so his age is but a guess since he was a rescue dog, and rescue me he did. I would guess around 11 years old now.
I will miss him when he is gone. He is the reason I continue to stay alive at times. His loyalty deserves mine. He is family!

it really amazes me when jws act like we are hurting them!.
many of us have found that if we stop associating with them for valid reasons, they act all upset and hurt that we would be "so cruel as to limit our association or cut them off".
i know of friends here on the forum who have been told by parents that they "will shun them if they leave jehovah" , and yet when the shoe is on the other foot and our awake friends shun them first, the parents cry and bemoan the situation and say how "cruel it is to deprive them of their company".
so, serving "the one true god" and being "in the truth" are supposed to make jw's better people.
they are bringing their "truth" to people and that probably makes them feel that they are good to "worldly" people.but they do it to "get their time in.
" they do it no longer in any life-saving mentality.

who owns a kingdom hall is it the local people or is it the watchtower via the branch office.
Most are deeded to the organization. They are trying to get them all under their control after the KH in Texas was taken over by the trustees on the deed to become a different church.
I forget the name of the town, but I am sure someone else will comment and fill in the blanks.

we were taught sickness and death is a result of the sin inherited from adam and eve, so why do animals get cancer?
they are supposedly still as big j intended, so therefore cancer is a creation by the big fella himself?.
just an exercise for one's who believe in the whole bible story thing.. (not me)... any others anomalies you can think of ?
picture 185,000 people on the streets attending the biggest event in long beach.
there is a main downtown street which is the only way into the grand prix.
it’s chaos because it is not private property that can be contained; these are working boulevards with cars and people vying to get where they want to go.
