The press conference and his handling of this just shows the root cause of his problems is still there. Pride, vanity, selfishness, arrogance... For him to think that this required a press conference and all the drama he has created is ridiculous. He needs to pull a John Daly and just go out there and be hisself and play frigg'n golf.

i never understood why people do give $$$ and these preachers live the high life and encourage their listeners to do the same.
the watchower's kingdumb halls can't even pay their electric bills and you see these other "ministries"making hand over fist.

TD JAKES is a very popular pastor and has his church in my area. Here is a great example of the Prosperity Gospel being preached. It's all about getting stuff nothing to do with submitting ourselves to God's will or his glorification.

Now that I figure this computer thing out.... when do we write a incindiary headline over a study that finds a 6 point (which is nothing) difference between say...whites and blacks... Chalam those verses are blessings, I didn't say God doesn't bless us or even want to do so. The "Prosperity Gospel" basically says don't expect to go out about make 2,000 dollars this month unless you give 200 to the church. You give the money (tithe) as an act of faith and then set back and wait for God to play financial consultant and give it back to you 10x. It's deeply flawed logic and theology.

As a Christian I am confronted with the prosperity Gospel often. I simply tell them.... "Explain the book of Job" He did everything right and good took it all on a wager with the devil. That usually shuts them up. The point is, yes God does often bless us with abundance but he never let's us forget we are subject to his will. Other words, we aren't entitled to sh*t and he'll check that ass whenever he wants.
