explain the inexplicable?
by highdose inover the past few weeks there have been some werid things happening in my life, several times in fact.. what has happened ( without having to explain every situ) is that i have been lets say person a looking for situation b, and suddenly and without trying i have met situation b who is looking for person a. this has happened very ramdomly and i couldn't say that there was any serious intent behind it except that i had a desire to find somthing at the same time as someone else and somehow we ended up finding eachother... but we met without trying in a utterly ramdom way???.
theories?
and don't say its god becuase i've spent night after night in my past in tears begging, pleading with god to do somthing, and nothing nothing has happened!.

Ouija Board Hysteria
by Megachusen ini always wondered why jw's were always so afraid of ouija(pronounced as "wee-yaw" not "wee-gee") boards.
does anyone have any speculation about who started these jw myths?.
anyone who has actually tried the board and would like to give their opinions are welcome.

"I am of the firm belief that you don't mess with stuff that you don't understand and that can come back to bite you on the butt."
If that's the way science worked we'd never find anything out.
If these things exist in this universe I want to know about it.

"So, if I told you what happened to me, your reply wouldbe to just say, "Well that's just your experience." ??
I'm not a red-neck crack-pot. What happened was very scary. If you had seen it and experienced you'd be scared, too.
How would I go about proving to you what happened to me?"
I wouldn't reply "that's just your experience", I would reply "show me some evidence. Any evidence.".
I'm not doubting that you had an experience. I'm doubting if the experience, as you perceived it, was paranormal.

The most annoying thing about the people who claim to have supernatural experiences is that when you back them into a corner the only thing they can ever say is: "What I saw was real! Don't you dare tell me what I saw wasn't real because you haven't experienced it."
They quickly shift from "It does exist" to "I'm not trying to convince you exists. I'm just saying that, from my expereince, it does".
This line of reasoning can be found in every piece of bullshit that ever existed.

This thread sure is anecdotal.
It's funny how I've spent the last 2 years trying to find any evidence for the paranormal and yet you guys pretty much have experiences happening to you all over the godamn place.
Maybe the spirits in Arizona are just too godamn shy. Or maybe the demons are trying to trick me into believing that they don't exist by pretending to not exist.
If anyone has any tips on how to summon my own kickass zombie demon/ghost to do random shit around my house it would be appreciated.
Also, to the guy who said that it isn't pronounced as "Wee-Yaw": the makers of the board would disagree. The name is made up from two words in French and German that mean yes. Oui(wee) and Ja(yaw).

I always wondered why JW's were always so afraid of Ouija(Pronounced as "Wee-Yaw" not "Wee-Gee") boards. Does anyone have any speculation about who started these JW myths?
Anyone who has actually tried the board and would like to give their opinions are welcome. Me and a friend tried it out for ourselves and experienced a whole lot of nothing (except boredom).
In B4 ideomotor effect.

Why some exJW's become Atheist...
by vilot invery interesting article at free minds.... exiting jehovah's witnesses usually just get started with an examination of jw dogma.
from there, other churches are examined.
the bible itself is examined.

"At the same time though, we seem to be spiritual creatures. It looks like a higher quality of life is associated with acknowledging that "spiritual" side we all have."
I call bullshit.
