  Ouija Board Hysteria

  i always wondered why jw's were always so afraid of ouija(pronounced as "wee-yaw" not "wee-gee") boards.

  does anyone have any speculation about who started these jw myths?.

  anyone who has actually tried the board and would like to give their opinions are welcome.

  Make Your Case for God's Existence

  quite a few of the ex-jw's on this site are either atheist or agnostic.

  i figured that it would be interesting if the theist side could make their case for god's existence and then non-theists could either debate the points or concede, depending on the arguments given.. so, if you believe in a god, please tell us your most convincing argument for why we should aswell..

  "Bible Students"

  i recently came across this bible student forum about evolution: http://www.biblestudents.net/forum/index.php?board=58.0.

  for those who don't know, the bible students are the result off a schism sometime before 1930 that broke the religion into two parts.. after reading that forum i'm pretty sure that they're just jw's without the governing body.. .

  so what's your opinion of them?.

  i ussualy find this kind of stuff hilarious.

  this time was no different.. enter "does god exist - six reasons to believe" (link for all of those interested: http://www.everystudent.com/features/isthere.html?gclid=ci_bgzvimzscframdqodxcnmoa) written by a self proclamed "ex-atheist" who has obviously been cured of the crippeling disability known as "rationality''-- no doubt by a little taste of god's delicious magic pixie dust.. since i have a certain threshold of tolerance for stupidity, i'm only going to comment on the subheadings for each point rather than the text underneath.. 1. does god exist?

  the complexity of our planet points to a deliberate designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.sure it does, buddy.

  The League of Apostate Pioneers

  recently it's come to my attention that the other teens in my congragation are being pressured by their parents to pioneer.

  the main problem is that, like me, they're all "apostates".

  because of this amusing turn of events, i'm thinking about starting my own apostate pioneering group with them.

  how long do you guys think it has left?.

  personally, i think it has about 10 years before the org's leadership disolves and the religion splinters into hundreds of adorable little jw-like cults..

  I got my hands on the new "Wonders of Creation" DVD release

  my head is still ringing from all the delicious spiritual food that i received today so i won't have my review up for at least another day or so.

  suffice it to say that the dvd is extremely well designed(for the society, that is).

  you can tell right away that they put a lot of money into cg planetoids.
